Myth for the Spectrum 128k
This version is abit different to the Amiga/c64 versions. Not just cut down gfx, more suited to the spectrum, but level maps and general gameplay is different too making it a good game to playthrough even if you have played other versions.
The controls can feel abit weird at times so you'll see some odd moves going on as I try to find the move I want at that time ;)
There is very little sound in the game, but the few sounds it has is more for environmental effects and works ok in this role. Lots of multicolor use and colour clash is at a minimum. It was well developed and not simply thrown out there to simply say its on the spectrum to. -

A work of art on a zx spectrum. Completed it years and years ago and was my favourite game.
What's weird about this game is that every port is practically a whole different genre. NES = platform hell, Amiga = hack and slash, C64 = cinematic platformer, and ZX Spectrum = action role playing game.
Great use of color. The Dragon at 7:00 looked absolutely amazing! 🐉
It's so weird for me to think that apart from the obvious lack of colours there's graphical stuff going on here that even the NES would be hard pressed to replicate as well. It's so impressive to see what people were doing on such limited hardware at times.
Best Spectrum game. If I remember well it also played on a tiny 48k machine. Impressive achievement.
Brilliant, one of the better Spectrum games out there. 13,999+ to go...
This has to be the best game on the Spectrum, surely? Amazingly done for the time. About as good an adventure platformer as you can do given the limitations.
amazing game. that moment on viking ship in storm was something. it took years before generic gaming narrative came to this
The most fun I ever had on my Spectrum was with this game, pure class.
This game was created by simple ZX Spectrum? Unbelievable! It is much better than nowadays many games! Why, why I barely played this game when I had it?! I missed so much fun.
Great game on spectrum
Great game from childhood. Played on ZX Spectrum. I am currently playing this game on an Amige 1200 with a WHD load and I am surprised that the game has completely different levels. For example, 1 level on the Amige done in 5 minutes. In the zx spectrum version, you walk across many screens. Still, it's an amazing game, and the Amiga version is very difficult against the zx spectrum.
I have this for the spectrum , it's very good considering most of the other games on it are crappy black and white graphic games or 48k games released a few years after the 128k came out. That used to piss me off back then beeper tunes and limited sound effects on a computer that was capable of 128k with good quality chip for sound!
Looks like a very solid game, nice graphics, good animation, and I can see the conections with the Amiga/C64 game. Very good work, it's good when people tried to port games properly thinking about the hardware they are working with, instead of trying to make a port that looks like the original but plays like shit.
At 10:16 I dimly recall that if you kneel, she turns into an angel instead of a devil & you get a bonus. Will fire up the emulator later and see if I was right :)
*_Наконец-то я это увидел!_* 😅
I played some Myth game on Spectrum but it was something else. Tho also had smooth graphics. Do yoou know maybe? Or maybe was so long ago that completely got deformed in a memory.
There is a Magnetic Scrolls text adventure called Myth on various platforms.
Шара приди ☝😁
With the limits of Spectrum, this is amazing but still C64 version is the best.
Was this game played on real hardware or on an emulator? when i try to run this game via emulation, it has some graphical glitches, not to mention, the game crashes at times trying to load a different screen. EDIT:Nevermind,i solved the problem, i had a bad tape dump that's all.
Ностальгія .... )))) ну прям дитинство згадав Zx spectrum 128 та чорнобілий телевізор а ще в мене вона була на аудіо касеті
Good times, man
C64 MUCH BETTER GAME!!!!!
