  • As a freshman, Logan Wegman weighed 190 pounds. The rising senior at Exeter is up to 275 pounds and has received 24 Division I football offers. "I gotta make sure I keep working. You gotta keep pushing, stay on the gas," Wegman told Paul Roberts of SV Sports. The 6'4 OL/DL consumes 5,000 to 6,000 calories each day. College coaches are intrigued by Wegman's flexibility. "They like my explosiveness, drive, aggressiveness and my bend," he said. Wegman helped to pave the way for Jayden Zandier last season. The All-State running back finished with 1,158 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. The Eagles averaged 213 yards per game on the ground and 7.4 yards per carry. Riley Martinez will be returning along with Zandier this fall. Martinez passed for 1,423 yards and 16 scores as a sophomore. Wegman was a force on defense as well with 57 tackles and 3.5 sacks. He also shined on Exeter's track and field team. Wegman earned a silver medal in the state shot put finals this spring. He threw 58-9.75 feet at the PIAA-3A championships. In addition to being a standout athlete, Wegman excels in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA. The Eagles will take a streak of 13 consecutive winning seasons into 2024. They were (8-3) last year including a heartbreaking 28-27 loss at Hershey in the first round of the District 3-5A tournament. "I expect us to make it far into the playoffs," stated Wegman.
