How to Connect With Anyone: This Realization Changed My Life

  • One way we can feel connected to people we meet is to drop the labels as to who they are. Labels bring connotations and meanings that are then projected toward that person and then the perceptual sense to which we see reality will then include those thoughts. The mental labels (whether it be race, culture, political affiliation, age, sexual orientation, etc) don't actually define the person we come into contact with anyways. We are far more vast then any label or characteristic. We are all humans, spiritual beings, consciousness, whatever you want to call it and anytime we label people we are limiting the expression of who they are and creating a wall of separation. Expanding this scope can help us to connect to the real energy of the person rather then the mental idea filled with personal connotations. We are all one and connection is a natural by product of who we are.
This video is about how to connect with anyone

I have judgements when I talk to people, not about them, but about myself. That's probably why I always feel like being outside the group or at a distance from others.

Walk up to the mirror, look yourself in the eye and say "I deeply and completely love and accept you no matter what". Think of those things that you judge yourself about and then say that phrase or replace "you" with "myself". Self love and self acceptance is usually something we miss out on when we are young because love and acceptance from our parents and people is usually conditional so we never build that strong foundation. Even better get the unconditional love and acceptance from an unchanging source such as Jesus.

Making eye contact shows that your intimidating buts that’s not a bad thing some people are just intimidating themselves but that’s what makes them attractive. Knowing that your intimidating shows that your bold and have no fear.

either you look at the world (or other people) from a love point of view, or from a fear point of view. Fear creates these labels. Love looks for connection. My life is being led by fear, which can't be turned off yet (working on it). But I do understand the impact of both. Many people, unfortunately, have not experienced love much and were raised with fear. It's a hard thing for a lot of people to even know there is a view of love when they have never felt it for long enough compared to the fear they have felt. Their whole being is filled with fear and it's hard to get rid of.

I don’t see it’s just about love or just about fear. It’s also about feeling that certain
Connection with people who you just love to talk to, who will open to you, and
You open up to them without judging each other, who you just like to talk to,
And vice versa. I suppose you can just generalize it and say its about love or
Fear, but that’s not getting to the root of the problem, in my opinion. If you
Want to talk about fear, yes there are a lot of people who don’t open up to
Us probably because they fear they will be judged. So you can’t really get
To know these types of people to connect with them. If you want to throw
In the love part, thats the people who you just have this feeling of connecting
With, but its rare in my opinion, to find these types of people.

Great comment. I have been operating out of a place of shame (fear) since I was about 8 years old. Because of something I went through as a young boy and then years of rejection, hiding behind alcohol and drugs, and ultimately self rejection, I have come to view myself as a defective person and social misfit. As hard as I might try to put a mask on, this is ultimately the person I present when I meet others. Damn, it’s a hard and slow battle, but I am feeling a hell of a lot better about myself than I did 10 years ago when I was strung out on drugs. It’s really hard to find people who know themselves well enough and are willing to make themselves vulnerable and share this with.

For me, this is actually the reason I'm finding it difficult to connect with people. I've learned to drop judgement, though meditation, and am now finding it more difficult to say, sit in the kitchen and talk with my family..but maybe I just haven't fully dropped all the judgement out of what society talks about. I definitely get drained, but I think as this meditation continues, I'll get a better handle on it. I commented on your spiritual awakening video, but again I discovered meditation while being anxious/depressed, and I believe it's part of the reason, I put resistance on engaging with poeple.

It was going deeper within myself, I've learned what I think is such a crucial element to living a good life is the art of acceptance. So presently when I talk about meditation, I have realized. We all have different ideas as to what meditation actually is. To me the greatest insight, into see that, the "You" that you feel you are, is an illusion. Once you can cut through this illusion, suggering has a much harder time remaining attached to the mind. All love! Take care! 💪❤🧠

I will not see people's actions ,race, age, or any other label I use to have for people and I will see every one as completely equal

Ive only just actually realised this today, i have social anxiety around confident, outgoing and social people and i put them into a box of naturally perfect like that, like not understanding how they can be so charismatic and socially skilled, like the elite, & those people i feel are going to think im a weirdo
But people are just humans aren't they ig, everyones a little weird, how would you even define the norm? And even so eccentricities spices stuff up and stuff, like how the beauty stwndard is 'perfect' but the 'impurities' in people give so much soul, life, movement, like gestural
Anyways when i get comfortable with those types of people is when i accociate (forgor how to speel it) something even a little eccentric/imperfect/caring to them (e.g me in a youth club with them and the leader is very caring and has their unique characteristics), then it breaks down that image of superiority
Like they accept uniqueness & stuff, they're nicer

*impurities show you're alive, relatable, living and breathing, someone you can get close to, theres a history, and everyone has thwir own life/impurities to get to know

(sorry i cant edit comments) like i listened to someone babble on aboit how they love potatoes and stuff the other day and their joy inflicted on me, they were so alive, movement and facial expression and me remembering that everyone loves to talk about themselves like just that symphony
Yeah i ramble off topic sometimes (more like all the time)
This turned into me talkjng to myself about how the pressure to be perfectlt 'beautiful' is so nonsensical 💀
Like wtf some girl in a tiktok was beautiful, then i opened up the commenrs and everhone was calling her cheese pizza for having acne like bruh i didnt even notice that, and everything has some visual appeal to it (yeah i like art)

Also this whole notion of 'ugly' vs 'attractive'
I remember thinking to myself if we didnt have those whats pretty or not labels the world would be a better place
Everhthing harmonises together in a face
I remember seeing someone considered unnatractive, but his signature smile could alleviate the whole world

I feel like the people I'm with tend to put labels on everything, and while i don't really mind or care for labels. I sense and am told that plenty of other people tend to put them anyway. It is slightly odd tbh, I think that's why the people around me tend to like me.

He says tagging on a meaning. But it's really a stigma. He's not telling us how to connect with people, but what we need to remove in order to connect with people.
