Krejcikova is so underrated in my opinion. Such a huge talent and so calm on the court. Hoping to see another great season from her and I think we will.
She is not under-anything: she is where she is according to all things said and done.
People use underrated too much and not knowing what it really means.
@@markuse3472 Nobody really realises that she is former world no. 2 and GS champion. Or that she was able to beat Swiatek in final match as the only player in last 3 years. In my opinion she is underrated a lot.

I can say I have the same respect for Iga. I know some haters say she did not deserve to be no.1 after Barty retired, but in my opinion she proved many times over why she is the best in the world at the moment. So seeing our Czech player beat her in final match for the second time is an honor.

Krejcikova didn't show anything special in this match. Sobolenko at some point just stopped getting into the court.

I hope some stand their ground and even take the gamblers or bribers to court (if their lives are not threatened). She is good and I will never say against that, but it is almost too obvious one or both of my points are probably taking place, just as it is happening in the ATP and players being Paid Off to lose to novaq. I hope there comes a day sooner than later that at least a few filthy rich people see this probability and take it to the media so that the WTA, ATP, ITF and any state or country government involved in preventing cheating from happening (they cheated for Iga most of 2022 and so helped her with shot-making/confidence and motivation) do something.
Screamalenka goes down. Gonna be another title for Iga who is in better form by far than anybody in the field.

@@SNOOOPER93 Seems like that is what the women were trying to set up. They know Barbora could be a huge challenge for Iga. I don't like the way we got the " walkovers, " but it looks like that is what they were trying set up.
Being bagelled in the first set and trailing 1-3 in the second, this is an emphatic comeback by Krejcikova. Well I’m not surprised though, she’s a very intelligent player with a lot of variety and clutch. Hope to see a classic between her and Iga again. If anyone who can put up a challenge to Iga on consistent basis, it’s gotta be her.
Barbora has technically one the best games on the tour, and certainly one the best net players around..a great advert for controlled power - well done!!

Many people don't know that Barbora has at least 8 or 9 grand slam titles. 1 in singles and the others in doubles. But a lot of people don't really recognise doubles. But she is a very very good player. I want her to win many more singles and doubles titles.

Krejcikova has the best-looking groundstrokes in women’s tennis right now. So miss seeing classic and cleanly struck ground strokes. Always early racquet prep, always hitting out in front and follow through. Hope she’ll keep doing well this season!

Krejcikova is an exceptionally resourceful player. If you take a close look at her game it's hard to see what stands out. Well, I think her mind is what stands out. Ever since she beat Swiatek late last year in another impressive match I have watched her play to see if she could raise her level back up to a few years ago when she won a major. She was calm throughout this difficult match. Getting streamrolled by Sabalenka's power tennis doesn't seem to have caused her panic. Instead, she regrouped and continued playing her usual game and wore her powerful enemy out.

Really surprised by this result. Sabalenka had been playing really well since AO, but I guess the 2021 version of Krejcikova has returned. Could still end up being an incredible final if it turns out to be Iga | Krejcikova.
Never give up. What a match. Screaming of Sabalenka is really annoying, so I am glad that intelligent and patient tennis won over screaming and power.

Krejcikova is a smart player. She knew what to change and adjust in the second and third sets. Hitting the ball on the rise, not giving much time to the other side. By the way it is difficult to listen to those dreadful noises by Sabalenka. How much does that affect (negatively) the other player?

Barbora is such an honest and intelligent player. Her game is a thing of beauty from the back of the court right up to the net. Basher Saba ran out of scream tones and ideas.
Whoever is now in charge of the highlights should b fire seriously. Such a good match from Barbs compressed in pointless 5 minutes with a pointless slowmo. Ridiculous . Anyways congrats Barbs . Her silent killing instinct and composure is lethal when she plays well . I am rooting for her to reach the final 💪

There was the player substitution on the Czech side after the 1st set. The substitute Krejcikova did pretty well.

What a warrior Barbora Krejcikova is. After getting bageled in the first set and get 1:3 down in the second getting a comeback against very in form Sabalenka is simply amazing. She showed how to win against Sabalenka. She had perfect plan and executed it perfectly. She was patient and smart and that paid off for her. She never gave up. Barbora Krejcikova is such an amazing tennis player. She never gives up. She fights until the end. And this match proved that against those opponents who can fight back and have good defense Sabalenka have nothing. She simply is bit better version of Elena Rybakina who is bit better version of Jelena Ostapenko. She showed why she former French Open singles and current defending Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open doubles champion. She showed why she one of the best tennis players on the planet. Also I loved the good sportsmanship from both tennis players. Congratulations Barbora Krejcikova on winning this match. I hope that she will avenge her Australian straight sets loss to Jessica Pegula and will face Iga Swiatek in Final.

Most women's tennis fans were waiting impatiently for the final of Swiatek - Sabalenka, and here such a sensation ... Aryna must be very disappointed. She is really in great shape this year and and it's quite possible that she was even hoping for at least as long streak as Iga had last year. ... And here inconspicuous Barbora destroyed her dreams. I think it ended with 13 wins in a row...
It goes to show Iga's 37-match winning streak was no easy feat!

When you have a great run at the beginning of the year, you win a grand slam tournament, you start looking for more challenges, it's natural. But this challenge (if there was one) was too much for Aryna. In tennis, streaks like Iga's happen once every 20 years...
@@axelltullup2638 yes, but too early for that. Iga was in great form but she had too some luck. I mean, sometimes in great achievements best form is not enough. When Saba win 20-25 in a row i I'll start counting.
When Krejcikova is in top shape and not hampered by injuries she can compete and beat the top players with her complete game, she moves well, combines strategy with power and solid ground strokes with good volleying at net.
That's true. I would also add her mental strength, she is hard to break mentally, in every situation on the court she maintains a stoic calm. This is why she won today and earlier in Ostrava against Iga.
