- Cell phone video caught the final moments before a fire overtook a Houston building, trapping a construction worker. He jumped to the floor beneath him, and that may have saved his life. Manuel Bojorquez reports.
Safety guy probably still wrote him up after seeing this video.
It's spread so fast because new construction has so much air between each piece of wood. They're tinderboxes
Really large wooden buildings are terrible things. I'm sure this building would've been equipped with sprinklers when it was finished - but they weren't in operation yet when this happened. Actually I'm surprised that building codes will allow the construction of multi-story wood residential buildings anywhere in the USA.
Imagine if we made houses out of stuff thats not basically tooth picks, We could survive insane winds, fires wouldnt be to bad, and it would be nice for a bit extra work and money
Right? I keep seing more multi story apartments stick framed, like how dumb could that be? With all the nit picking they do on residential jobsites. Disgusting.
how did the fire start
Shaggy Boi righttttt
The engineer operating that ladder sure is slow. Probably would have been faster to continue jumping down and then use ground ladders to get him
You have no idea what you're talking about. Sometimes it's just better to say nothing so your ignorance isn't on display.
Respect aux pompiers pour leurs dévouement aussi sauver une vie
Good resue
🙏🏼 God
Of course, it’s made of wood
