Lossen in Antwerpen

In mijn vrije tijd los ik soms op andere schepen af. In deze video ben ik de komende veertien dagen aan boord van een containerschip dat voornamelijk in Nederland en België vaart. Vandaag lossen en laden we in de stad van Antwerpen.
In my spare time I sometimes relieve on other ships. In this video I will spend the next fourteen days on board a container ship that mainly sails in the Netherlands and Belgium. Today we unload and load in the city of Antwerp.
In meiner Freizeit entlaste ich manchmal auf anderen Schiffen. In diesem Video werde ich die nächsten vierzehn Tage an Bord eines Containerschiffs verbringen, das hauptsächlich in den Niederlanden und Belgien unterwegs ist. Heute entladen und laden wir in der Stadt Antwerpen.

Thanks Huub. It must take a more organised mind than mind to make sure that there is no double handling when unloading and the crane drivers select the correct boxes to unload.

Huub, another fascinating video. Who designs the load sequence of the containers? It seems to be a game of chess with 100 pieces. I admire your commitment to the river. Most people would want to spend their time off doing other things.

Thank you for your response. If you mean the stowage plan? We do that ourselves. We get a list of the containers to be loaded that we put in a stowage program and then plan. The containers are then loaded onto the ship in order of the stowage plan.

Ik heb de indruk dat de logistiek in Antwerpen beter is dan Rotterdam. Of heb ik dat mis?

In de video's zie je een moment opname. Het kan ook in Antwerpen een chaos zijn en we moeten in beide havens af en toe lang wachten.
