Hi Randy and Amanda, wow that is a Stunning tiny home. It will look so beautiful with the wood on the outside like the woody in a dark stain. It makes the knotted wood pop! I live in New Zealand and it would cost alot to have one of those imported here. I still haven't seen any tiny homes here half as good as yours. Love your channel.

I LOVE the stained wood just like on The Woodie! And yes many families travel with their children and they are homeschooled. Better education and they get REAL history/geography lessons. The loft would be great! I love the stained Birmingham and the price is amazing!
If I were to build from scratch I would take a page from the Woody and put the steps to the loft perhaps in a different place. I love the shiplap in the bedroom. If I could I would buy this today. 🙏🙏🙏And Melody is a true talent. She’s an American Treasure and so are all of yous!!!

That bay window sticks out into the open air so if the seat lifted up you would be looking at the ground. There is no box under that seat. That is where the hitch lies.

That sounds like it…but he wasn’t very clear that it would be an OWNED lot…just said 119K …but he mentions 300 per month…so I’m confused
If it’s the same as others, you purchase a lease that you can later sell but there is a small monthly fee for the lot. It’s actually a good idea because you can make profit and only pay that much in a lot rent.. the 30k pays for all the prep to get the property and your lot ready and they move it to the lot (not sure if they do with the Amish).

There's no reason you can't place a double with a bunk on top in master bedroom? Or even divide the room in the middle with built in double beds? Each side would have its own window & a curtain for privacy. Storage underneath?
Yes, except watch the height for that top bunk, as the ceiling in the Master (with the loft above) is at 6'5" high.

No finishes, no poly, no stain. You would have to hire that out yourself

I love the Birmingham! I think outside being stained is GORGEOUS! Inside I’d have it painted an off white in same areas as the regular Birmingham. Have rest, the wood inside, stained. I’d hire someone to do this and it would be beautiful! Price is great!
People please don't buy these this would only cost you like 15 to 20 grand to make for real... My husband and I just built a shed for $3,000 that was a 10x10 and it's gorgeous and it's made of strong 2x6s and 2x4s...home Depot wanted 15 grand for theirs and we built one for three...this is highway robbery...

Yes you can build cheaper, but what about the craftsmanship?
Not everyone is dreaming about moving into a shed. These are real homes built tinier with durability and built to code. Not everyone can build their own but our pricing is way lower than builders across the country and we strive very hard to keep them lower so your comment is very inaccurate but thanks for your feedback

Ok but if I bought that I wouldn't want to poly all that wood or paint it. Lol. Not for that price. So what happens if you don't polyurethane all the wood and leave it raw? This house is beautiful I would love to have it. Also I think I'd use a accordion door on bedroom bc you could put shelves where the door lands when open.
You'll have bugs, termites, and carpenter bee problems. Then your home will start to rot from all the moisture getting deep inside the wood. No, you definitely want to paint or stain it, or hire someone to do it for you. If you like the natural wood look, just use clear stain.

I don't care for the all-woody Birmingham - the roofline is different and loses the clerestory windows.
What do you mean by the roofline being different? The all wood Birmingham would only change from LP to wood, no change to the roofline. He is only showing you the Woody to show you the wood and the stain color if you want to choose to stain it that color. The Birmingham itself will not change
