Slade is an English rock band formed in Wolverhampton in 1966. They rose to prominence during the glam rock era in the early 1970s,[1] achieving 17 consecutive top 20 hits and six number ones on the UK Singles Chart.

This so iconic!! Myself and a friend that I work with were just talking about these guys! Glad to see they are all still living, together, and doing well!!
They are not together. Dave and Don brought in replacements for Noddy and Jim but didn't do anything new to speak of. Then about a year ago Dave kicked Don out and so now they are all truly going their own ways.
Dave sacked Don by email, which is typical of him, i was a massive Slade fan but i always hated Dave Hill.@@rdaltry777

The first record I ever bought was Goodbye T' Jane on the Polydor label, 45p from Woolworths.
To this day, I think that they are brilliant.

Slade is one of my all time favorites. Never saw them live but I have numerous albums. Yes actual albums from the 70’s when I was a young whipper snapper.
Saw Slade with Dave Hill playing live in Skegness about 10 days ago. Dave was still full of energy.

One of my ever best glam rock group, especially with the raging shouts from Noddy, and Hill as a marvelous lead guitarist plus the bright skills of Jim & Don. Good to know that they are well, and still healthy. I still admire and match Noddy's character and face appearance, as I always did as a teen 50yrs ago, as one of the Grand masters of St John we had in my country ( Malta) during the great siege -- his furious and long curly hair and the beard down to his chin makes him a unique man of that era ! I did always love to see Noddy with this type of character & his furious shouts ! 😊 Keep it up SLADE where ever you are, and take care.

If you still don't understand, than just take a look at Noddy's face and you will know what I am talking about. Just what went wrong ? A band with No1 hit after hit , 70's icon , hero's of the youths of the 70's and able to blow all other bands offstage . Even the mighty Quo were Slades support band . Love to know what happened and why the band suddenly lost it .
Like most bands according to Noddy they had musical differences of opinion and fall outs over money, Noddy had had enough and left as did Jim who were the songwriters and brains of the band, Dave and Don carried on as Slade 2 or something, and recently Dave sacked his best mate Don

Noddy said once that most bands break up over differences relating to artistic direction, women, drugs and money (or something like that - might not have been drugs) and he said with Slade it was all of them

Tolle Band. Ich habe sie 1973 in der Berliner Deutschlandhalle live erlebt. War nicht ausverkauft die Deutschlandhalle damals aber Slade haben ordentlich abgerockt damals. Schöne Zeit damals in West Berlin.

Looks aside they were a FABULOUS band that rocked my childhood and my teenage years...

WINTERLAND. Sadly in was demolished in the early 80's.
I was at that show but I thought Steely Dan was the 1st band.

I got ”Sladest” on cassette for x-mas from my uncle -73 and bought the next 3 albums myself , also on cassette , before I wondered into the dark forrest of Punk and got lost a couple of years. Then I bought ”Kamikaze” -83 on vinyl. I still got them all but I don’t dare play the cassettes anymore.

The ABBA Voyage arena in London, England has digital avatars performing on stage that are younger versions of themselves. I think that would be a very good idea for Slade. They should have ther'e younger looking avatars perform on stage in a specially built concert arena.
