i had a fruit fly outbreak in my apartment this summer and it was nuts. they got in the drain and then overnight there were millions and it took like a week for them to disappear. place wasnt even that dirty.
Imagine that apartment in the summer. I have experienced something similar once and it definitely sticks with you for life. Mild PTSD.
@Steven Richter I had to fix plumbing issues in a horders apartment. A lot of the smells come from the plumbing. When water isn't used, the traps dry up and can allow gasses to enter the apartment and mix with other smells. It's not a pleasant experience. I used a respirator and could still smell it. It gets in your hair and sticks to your skin. Its horrible.
