I'm so glad you continue to create content. I've enjoyed watching for many years. I've returned to school at 54 to complete the premed degree I started many years ago. I'll be nearing 56 when I'm eligible to apply to medical school. I'm excited for my future.

I'm not a medical student, nor do I work in the medical field. I'm a few years older than you and somehow stumbled upon your channel years ago when you were in medical school. I watched b/c I found your content (NYC ER resident, hello!!) interesting, and your commitment and work ethic motivating (helped me get off my butt a time or two after watching one of your vids, and still do. I feel good after watching! ty!!!). Now you're in the Bay Area (where I'm from, btw, across the way from you in the East Bay!) and at Stanford.
Your perseverance and hard work are inspiring, and your humble, steadfast nature so admirable!! Keep doing great things, Jaime!! It's been a pleasure and a privilege to watch your journey!

Is there a huge learning curve between M4 and PGY-1? I am starting to freak out a little. I enter the match next year and I just don't feel like Steps 1 and 2 are even close to providing the information we need to know to start treating patients.
Huge learning curve but most of it is learning on the job. It takes time but it will happen! Step 1/2 knowledge is a great base to build your clinical knowledge/skills on. :) good luck!

I took my written boards for EM last October. About 300 questions. My oral board is at the end of September!

Are you teaching Benji Korean? I want our kiddos to be bilingual, so I'm also trying to learn.
Have you looked into ‘talk to me in Korean’? That’s what my husband used to learn! He can read Korean now :) I haven’t really started teaching Korean to Benji yet but a lot of his books and songs are in Korean.
