The only difference between pigs and cats is that pigs are probably more intelligent and may have slightly different personalities and instincts. But that's about all. They still suffer in the same way.

I really liked this video, I think it is incredible to see such young people conversing in their 2nd language and being open to such a conversation. Your direct no nonsense manner was very effective, I think they will use your card for further research and hopefully listen to " the best speech you will ever hear " Gary Yourofsky. Very powerful ! No one should have to suffer and die so we can live ! Thousands of wonderful nutritious delicious healthy foods to choose from that don't deliberately cause suffering and death to anyone.
Roughly 3:40 "everyone else is doing it" which is SUCH a common excuse people use whether they say it out loud or not, their actions are saying it. People are so undercarbed they can't think or care they just carry on like a mindless drone.
It is, yes. Herd mentality is a real problem against animal agriculture. But, one can only hope that, eventually, enough people wake up that it becomes a matter of choosing which herd mentality to be part of.

But sometimes you need to build a relationship with people before asking the hard questions. This one felt like you did the right thing by getting straight in there. I go somewhere in between usually "3 questions for animal lovers" (I think i stole that one from Cliff Grant?), 1. why do you like animals/what is it about animals that you love? 2. What do you think of animal abuse/people who abuse animals? 3. Do you currently pay people to harm animals on your behalf (for example meat, dairy eggs)? Thats what I've landed on, and it seems to draw the best convos I've had. But again as a viewer of other activists I like to see people try new things! So keep it up!
