For me it’s 100% the reverso! The fact that you can engrave the case back would make it that much more sentimental to me and an awesome conversation piece 👍🏽
@@ShubhamSingh-zz7hd we’ll just agree to disagree. Don’t get me wrong, the Lange 1 is a gorgeous horological masterpiece but I don’t consider it a true dress watch. It is too thick and more of a statement piece. And if statement piece is your goal then the Lange 1 is the best option, no doubt. However for a dress watch The Saxonia Thin would be a better alternative. Among these options the Reverso and the Breguet are the better dress watches
Exactly, if it's my only watch, it's the Santos. Lange 1 is probably my all time favourite watch... Just you're not going to catch me wearing it with shorts and sandals
I think I would have to go with the Cartier, a brilliant strap change system and the watch comes with extra straps for you to be able to change the look of the watch, plus the bracelet has a very good system to take the links apart without tools, making it easy to find the right size for the bracelet.
Hands down, the Breguet. For me it's no contest, it's timeless class that could be worn equally well a hundred years ago, today, or a hundred years from now.
The perfect combination of technology and aesthetics, this watch not only tells you the time, but also lets you feel the touch of the future. Now, make it a part of you
I’m not really a watch guy but I love the The Cartier with its sleek, timeless style and beauty but the A. Lange looks like the pinnacle of engineering, design, art and elegance.
The Breguet all day for me. By definition, a gentleman’s dress watch should thin enough to slide easily under the shirt cuff, and should be unobtrusive when checking the time. Breguet himself specialized in making thin watches so there’s even history in that aspect of it! A gentleman would also not want to make a scene with an overly elaborate or heavy watch. 😊
Great point. I was on a interview today with my breitling and it's a two handed operation to tuck it under the cuff. Such a nice looking face that I don't mind hanging it out in the open but...
The Cartier or the Breguet. But the Cartier can change strap colors and look good with any color suit. The Breguet looks best with dark suits so it limits you.
The Lange 1 and it's not even close! Forget the fact that it's the most valuable and impressive piece of the bunch. It's the most versatile. You can dress it up or down.
For me it’s a tie between JLC and Lange, with JLC having a slight edge due to being more affordable. Also I love Glashutte’s Pano series and I haven’t found any Reverso-ish watch that I like.
Yeah it was designed for polo players because their watch's glass kept shattering, as it wasn't that sturdy in those days, so this watch could flip be just a steel back
Cartier 100% because the white dial looks good with a brown or black leather strap and has an awesome metal bracelet to boot! As a matter fact it’s the best one watch do it all watch period!
The Santos is just iconic and super underrated for its historical weight. We are talking about the first male wrist watch to be produced - and to introduce one of the most popular types of watches to this day. On top of that, it is super versitile, confortable and reliable - with its 100m WR. Plus, as a BR, it's mandatory for me to support it.
Rolex 1908. Very underrated. People do not appreciate it now but I think it is going to be a great collectable in the future. Beautiful, has great size, thin, elegant and innovative. All in one.
Cartier Santos. Very versatile. Dress it down with a pair of 501's and white t-shirt or dress it up with a full black tie suit. Flying a plane or riding a bike, Shooting pool or designing pool tables, Champagne, wine, whiskey or beer, Cartier Santos always has your back. Rolex 1908 is second on the list for me.
very hard choice between Santos and Reverso but still I would do Lange 1. It just has that it factor for me. I would pair it with a G-shock for a two part collection.
Breguet 5157 would be my choice. For a pure dress watch sensibility, it is slim, discreet, hours and minutes only. For a more flexible dress watch, it's the Cartier Santos. Lange 1 is more a daily watch that can do dress watch duties. The JLC Reverso is originally designed as a sports watch but now mostly used as a dress watch.
I own a Santos and absolutely love it. Most complimented and asked about of my entire collection. That Breguet is so clean though, beautiful timepiece!
In my opinion the Reverso is the best option. It has a good history, it's versatile and you could probably throw a bracelet on it and wear it everyday.
I couldn't choose any watch. All are simply too good. Can't choose. But I'll take the Cartier. Cause my dad loves the brand, he bought a fake Cartier as a young doctor that he treasured for decades. Simply seeing me wear a Cartier for life will make him super happy!
Tough one for me. I’ve never worn a Reverso and as much as I appreciate the Reverso, I don’t see it being my style. The Breguet, I love the engine turned dial, but the actual aesthetic doesn’t move me. I recall finding others in their catalogue more interesting. The Lange, it’s the winner from this bunch, I’d love to see one, but not my idea of a perfect dress watch. I’d prefer a couple Patrimony from Vacheron Constantin, there’s probably a Calatrava I’d choose over these too.
Reverso for sure, but dress watches are all just so beautiful. If I was going to spend a gross amount of money on a watch, it would likely be a dress watch.
The Reverso for it’s square movement in a square case. Love it!❤️… don’t have one yet. Still counting the money in my piggy bank and deciding which Reverso to get.😅
If I had to make a choice then the Cartier but to be honest if I had the wrist for it I would love to own the IWC Portuguese with the seconds and day of the week sub dials. However, big respect to the craftmanship that goes it most of these watches.
For me it’s 100% the reverso! The fact that you can engrave the case back would make it that much more sentimental to me and an awesome conversation piece 👍🏽
Have you seen the recent MSRP increase?
If you order through the brands' respective boutiques, you can request for and pay the extra for a special engraving.

A. Lange, no question, the attention to detail is amazing.
I feel like that wasn’t even fair. Would you choose from any of the nice watch or this unobtainable 100k masterpiece. 😂

So TRUE !! Omg. I had a men’s gold panther for over 20 years and wore it constantly. I miss it but I had it and that was enough.
1000%
100% the Lange. While it’s too big for my wrist, I’m still onboard for a life time of Lange & Sohne.
The Breguet Classique...such a timeless piece that goes with almost any suit and occasion
If the Lange is an option, there's no competition
F.P. Journe, Philippe Dufour and many others beg to differ

Laughable opinion
Lange - aesthetic, quality, and from a professional/utility standpoint I always want the date on something I'm wearing regularly
I would also go with the Lange but in a chrome finish. Not the gold.
Thw Cartier Santos. It just looks fantastic, elegant and very masculin.
They're all beautiful, but the Lange & Sohne is just at another level to me.
I think I'd take that one and never look back.
My taste too. Rolex would be the second place watch.
Cartier santos, all day everyday. It works both as an elegant dress watch and a sports watch.
Totally agree
Exactly, if it's my only watch, it's the Santos. Lange 1 is probably my all time favourite watch... Just you're not going to catch me wearing it with shorts and sandals
Yup versatility
JLC Reverso has a duo face model that offers different colors on two dials. Very versatile
Scratch magnet and in a year its will look like crapp
I’ve always wanted the Reverso but that Lange is something special.
I think I would have to go with the Cartier, a brilliant strap change system and the watch comes with extra straps for you to be able to change the look of the watch, plus the bracelet has a very good system to take the links apart without tools, making it easy to find the right size for the bracelet.
They’re all stunning, but for a lifetime…. the Breguet has my vote.
BREGUET …it has that unique complexity of class and simplicity..
Hands down, the Breguet. For me it's no contest, it's timeless class that could be worn equally well a hundred years ago, today, or a hundred years from now.
Agreed. That piece is timeless lol😅
A Lange & Sohne. Stunning!
Absolutely love the A.Lange.That is something special
The Santos for its versatility. But man the Breguet and Lange are beautiful
JLC Reverso man....that's an amazing piece
These are all incredible choices but I would have to choose the Lange all day - I have always loved it!
What’s the value of it before I get my hopes up
I'd love the Lange but to wear for the rest of my life? It's the Reverso

JLC Reverso
It's simple but so well engineered and is truly original. Love iy
The Breguet is a watch I could look at forever if I had too , it’s stunning.
If I’m paying, the Cartier. If you’re paying (Teddy), the Lange!
Same answer🎉
The correct answer. Absolutely
Cartier santos will never go out of style. It's like the interior of a bugatti, truly timeless.
I’m not really a watch guy but I love the The Cartier with its sleek, timeless style and beauty but the A. Lange looks like the pinnacle of engineering, design, art and elegance.
Breguet or Rolex 1908, I mostly wear those styles of dress watches anyways and to me there is elegance in their simplicity
I only wear pocket watches.
The Breguet. I’ll take simple elegance over complex beauty any day.
Agreed.
Breguet or Lange .... two incredibly beautiful watches !
I’m picking the santos, although I love the reverso I prefer the slimmer watch
The Breguet all day for me. By definition, a gentleman’s dress watch should thin enough to slide easily under the shirt cuff, and should be unobtrusive when checking the time. Pure class!

Absolutely. Breguet is the king of class and understatement.
Same for me
Definitely the Lange! Easily one of the best if not the best manufacturer 🥰
For me it’s either the Lange or the Rolex
The Lange really sticks out to me. That is a gorgeous piece!
Love the Santos and will probably get one one day but I gotta go with the JLC reverso. So unique and iconic.
JLC Reverso every day and twice on Sunday. Love the history and look of that model.
LOVE the Reverso but, for me, from this selection I’d take the Breguet without hesitation!!
I would choose Cartier, its the most versatile from the lot, it can work with a suit and a tshirt equally well.
The Santos, no question. The details are stunning.
Santos de Cartier: rugged yet classy, perfect for any situation. You could literally never take it off except when doing an MRI
100% the Cartier Santos. I adore that watch and its curved case fits so well
Same
But its a sports watch
@@kingoftampasure but as I only dress up once every few years, having a watch that can both dress up and down only makes sense
Going to have to go with the Santos. Always wanted a Cartier but I keep making business decisions lol. Very close 2nd is the Lange
The Cartier. I’ve had several but people keep admiring them, and so they go.
i’m not even into square watch cases, but
the JLC Reverso is amazing
The Cartier or the Breguet. But the Cartier can change strap colors and look good with any color suit. The Breguet looks best with dark suits so it limits you.
Definitely Breguet Classique, it's such a smooth, but elegant watch. Would go well with any suit
To me Classique Enamel, please!

1: A Lange & Sohne
2: Santos
3: Rolex
4: Reverso (I know, I know)
5: Breguet
Dude I gotta go with the new rolex release, I'm not typically a rolex guy but man they nailed that 1908
Breguet. Absolutely flawless.
for a lifetime, reverso has my heart ! ❤
Generally I don’t like dress watches, but I do like the Santos which is a little more sporty and a unique design with lots of history.
For me its the lange since i dont have any German watch in my collection, but the reverso comes pretty close
A. Lange & Sohne, its a work of art that you can wear on your wrist
The Reverso! So unique and love the smaller form factor!

JLC reverso for me certainly!
Rolex 1908. Very underrated. People do not appreciate it now but I think it is going to be a great collectable in the future. Beautiful, has great size, thin, elegant and innovative.

Meh, it's very strange that most of their models are 36mm, and the one meant to be dressy ends up being 39.
Cartier Santos. Very versatile.

The Breguet for me because it’s so minimally elegant, and I don’t have one.

The Cartier Santos. One of the best looking watches of all time to me.
