Even if the voice acting was a bit off, I love how it shows Bowser’s hesitation to tell his son the truth about Peach, and it also proves of how wholesome of a father he is.
That 120 stars "special" ending screen was when kid me learned about this new feeling called disappointment.
That Bowser/Bowser Jr. moment sounds like Bowser's being voiced by a dialed back Cookie Monster and Jr is literally just Bart Simpson
My favorite headcannon is how Il Piantissimo used the brush to become Cosmic Mario in galaxy
I'm more partial to Pianissimo being the Shadow Mario of Mario Golf Toadstool Tour, not that the two are mutually exclusive.

I always had a theory that the paintbrush baby Bowser has in Sunshine is Vincent van Gore's paintbrush. Or it is a prototype of Vincent's; either or it is pretty cool the connection of the two games. I do wish they utilized Professor E. Gadd's character more in future Mario games.
I believe the ending shot of Ill Patimisso actually hints at future Shadow Mario appearances during the GC to early Wii era being the running man, now with the magic brush. Also the 100% isn't nearly as bad as DK64. Though what you get isn't as cool since you just get a group shot of the cast and NPCs with the caption "Have a Great Vacation!" and Mario saying his famous "Thank-a you so much for-a playing my game!"
This iceberg left out Peach Beach, the track from Mario Kart: Double Dash that's obviously set on Isle Delfino. Despite it being Isle Delfino, which isn't part of the Mushroom Kingdom, it's PEACH Beach. Why? One theory is that Peach invaded Isle Delfino and conquered it as revenge for the way they railroaded Mario. I'm in favor of this, because at least then they got some comeuppance.
This dude seriously deserves more views. Good, not annoying commentary, and interesting content. Good to watch while snacking lol.

Super Mario Sunshine will forever be my favourite 3D Mario platformer. It has such a distinct, fun vibe no other Mario game has captured, alongside adorable little details. The characters introduced have gone on to be some of the best and most iconic in the series.
That being said, I'm equally fascinated by the many unanswered questions and beta content of this game? From Tramplin' Stu to the human NPCs to the Delfino express, there's a lot we know nothing about. I really hope we see a beta build get leaked one day. Maybe in 2025 or something we'll get the gigaleak part 2?
Considering how incompetent E Gadd really is despite his intelligence I honestly think he gave them to Bowser thinking it would be used for good.
That, or Bowser said it would be a gift for his son, and as we know, Bowser is a great father to his son

I am designing an open-world game, and I'd love to make areas visible from other areas. I'm thinking that the entrance of the final area will be visible from any part of the map, and when the protagonist of my game first sees it, she will remark, "Well, there's no way this mountain with skyward beams coming from it is unimportant."

Great work as always, Gambaby. Your editing just gets tighter and funnier. My plan last year was to finally play Sunshine from start to finish on 3D All Stars after 120-Starring SM64 for the first time, but I got distracted. This vid reminded me to get the ball rolling on that mission, bless up.

I have a tip, if you want to try it, it worked for me, it takes a little longer, but is safer. Clean the beach of the ducks, every single one, then, roll de watermelon the other side, be careful not to explode it, then roll it around the beach. of course the hard part is the deck, but hey! enemy beach free at least.

I will partially disagree with the voice acting. I agree that bowser's voice is AWFUL and SUCKS in it, but I think Bowser Jr.'s voice fits him perfectly

Why is the first layer just game mechanics you encounter 20 minutes into the game
Cause I think the first layer is like lighthearted but it gets darker the deeper you go on the iceberg but I may be wrong
Yeah thats kind of the idea. I usually tend to keep early layers light but sometimes I like to use these to give my opinions and joke about more general things in the game. It also helps to add a small foundation for those who've stumbled on the video that might not be super familiar with the game

16:50 they actually didn't do that on purpose, the reason it's not in the game is because they used an updated version referred to as the "Shindou version" which removes the BLJ and the "so long gay bowser" line, and it also adds an easter egg on the title screen. blame 90s nintendo, not 2020s nintendo
Only complaint is the echo effect is way overused and genuinely distracting and nearly headache inducing
Yeah I'm going to cut down on it in future projects, still trying to carve out a decent editing style so unfortunately stuff like this slips through the cracks sometimes

Cool video bro but I'd suggest using the echo effect on your voice less because you've over used it quite a bit in my opinion. Probably should just reserve it for 2 or 3 moments in a video to make the joke stick more.
Thanks for the feedback, looking back it was overrused. I usually do 5 or 6 passes on a video and near the final pass details like that start blending and are harder to notice, but I'll def take it into consideration for future videos

Actually the Eye earrings Peach is seen with does not and never happened in any of the regional copies of this game for GC. That specific texture glitch is exclusive to 3D allstars

hopefully someone can help me out, but at the very start of the game, after the plane lands and the group is talking about the paint goop, Peach talks to mario and says something aloud that sounds like "Oh sorrow!" but the text says that she has a bad feeling about this...etc. Why is she saying this? Oh sorrow is not even a real sentence even in the real world

I think its from a game called Mario's Wacky World on the Philips CDI. Pretty sure it was an unreleased game but I could be wrong
compared to the preview 3D mario game this one had to run out of space or something like that to stick 240 blue coins around despite being a more advanced console
mario 64 has 15 worlds with 30 times less memory and this game has 7 with a whole gigbayte so what i can guess is that they run out of ideas or time and decided to scatter around blue coins all over the game
Sunshine was alright but it was extra. 64 felt like a straight up Mario adventure. It was bare bones but I prefer it that way. They came up with too many unnecessary levels and challenges just from Fludd alone.
18:30 you clearly have no idea how game developing works. He looks similar but that is a completely different model. They had to make him look like that intentionally. Whether or not that makes him the running man I can't really say, but that isn't a reused asset. At least not from Ocarina or MM.
