"Congratulations for recognizing that there's stuff on the dark squares" 😂
“Yes, such positions do exist”😂😂
that's what she said
positions where b4 isn't the best move. I doubt it 😂😂
Cosmo magazine agrees.
It's quite satisfying catching a fork with the Bishop.
Definitely works like magic so pretty
"great insolence" 😂😂
The engine is not my "Good friend" He keeps criticizing all of my moves.
That was an easy pause-the- moment . Glad i picked it up .
Yep my first ever pause game moment, and I got it without pausing. Means it must have been a collosal blunder for Magnus to make that mistake
Rapport just seems underrated. His playing style is just brutal and calculating. He definitely has the minerals to be a top 5 player. He can dismantle anyone on a good day. He was Dings’ no.2 in the world championship. I like Rapport. Hope that hippie gets his due. 😎
I love Richie too, but his brilliance is mixed with inconsistency, a bit like Nezhmetdinov or Ivanchuk. He’ll overcommit to his weird prep and end up worse against better calculators, or fail to take advantage of the exact position his prep was aiming for. See this game for a great example of why Rapport is a great player but more or less deserves his rating, which topped out at number 5 in the world: m.czcams.com/video/xQ3kkums-Ww/video.html
His crazy style is precisely why he's not top 5. Against top players, it usually doesn't work and leads to losses more than wins.
I'm glad you brought the photo's back! always like to see what the in person event looks like as I can not follow a lot
What type of name is “slow rapid” it should obviously be called a “fast classical”
How many minutes is it played ?
@@michaelmassaro4375Grenke is a 45|10 time control.
Must have been an easy pause the video moment because i saw it instantly, but none the less still proud of myself for today.
Good I usually don’t have enough time to spot it
@@michaelmassaro4375pause. as much as is needed
I pause the video most of the times@@michaelmassaro4375
Easiest puzzles/pause the videos are when a knight is giving check. Knight check = only 2 possible options a) move your King b) capture the Knight with another piece. (Obviously a King can never capture a Knight that is giving check to him).
Yea I finally got 1 😂😂
Ding with his mom is such a cute pic ❤
what a compliment from Magnus regarding Fabi
Fabi is 2nd best player in the world, NePo and DIng and the rest are below Fabi and way below magnus.
Enjoyed the photos!
Big up to those parents for continuing to be with their boys although they are grown but for pure show of love and support
They know where their meal tickets come from.

@@davidanderson2357 I wasn’t trying to suggest that they tag along making all those journeys to capitalise financially but I can see how a negative thinking person can come with that.
funny how supergms makes these mistakes against rapport in winning positions.first, pragg blundered against him in a completely winning position in prague masters where pragg was up a piece and now the goat loses against him.
Rapport is truly the master of mystics
He misleads them with his fair hair and handsome face.
Stupid sexy report
Always a delight!
Having the white pieces gives a player a slight advantage. Having the white pants gives a player a slight disadvantage.
Ding looks after his mother. Really nice picture of them.
Richard was on the hunt that game
Excellent play by RR. Magnus resigned as there was nothing more to be done.
RIchard Rapport games are just at another level - he's an artist , not a butcher :)
Even before I see the game, I know it's gonna be a treat as soon as Rapport is spotted
That was a Blunder by Magnus he should’ve seen that coming
Ricsike, végre, király vagy!
One of the only times where I found the engine move!
A rare bishop fork...when expecting knight fork
Fantastic play by Rapport!!!
7.19 maybe Be7,d6 pawn hanging and Bf6 is dangerous.
Maturity is when you realize that agadmador is better in explaning the games than Gotham chess !👏

I can't believe Magnus actually blundered a piece like that...
Magnus has been chilling lately.
Does this "slow rapid" or "fast classical" count toward the FIDE Rapid or Classical rating?
Good question, cause I’ve heard both ways in my own tournaments so I’m curious about this.
It doesn’t matter who is Against i always root for rapport.
Because he is handsome. Are you gay

I saw the capture, but didn't see the continuation. In my mind the kings were on the alternate sides. So I was thinking how can white win this bishop vs rook endgame. It may be a draw under specific conditions but not a win. Just failed to see the fork.
I think the time control is 45 minutes for the entire game with a *10-second* increment from move 1.

Poor move.

2nd: I believe Wesley is still the classical WFRCC while Hikaru is just the rapid WFRCC.
Q1
Why weren't the 'slow rapid' games in the 2019 wfrcc considered classical when they are 60min games and the minimum for classical is 60min?
Q2
Why are the 2022 WFRCC games considered 'slow rapid', as in the same category for the 2019 wfrcc 60min games, when they are actually 32.5min games?
What I understand is
(0,10) = Blitz
[10,60) = rapid
[60,120) = classical but unrated if so and so conditions
[120,infinity) = classical

Last game magnus lose also contain a bishop of the opponent.
Whether they call it "slow rapid" or "fast classical", Rapport will play beautiful chess.
Beating Magnus C. is already an miracle, but beating him by an greenhorn mistake is just next level.
Magnus oh no. I’m sure it was an accident so hopefully will bounce back (like always) with 3 or more wins.
JOYful chess lover union, like from malazan book of the fallen.
when White 0-0, isn't he offering the pawn on e5? If B-f4 pinning the N, Nxd3; then, Bxc7, Nxb2. followed by N-c4. and black has two pawns for nothing. What am I missing?
another tournament for Ding to fnish last.

Ding with his mother, and also Rapport, in the same roof.

That' a shocking blunder from any stronger player... 🤔😬
yeah, he only had 12 seconds and he made that move in under 3 seconds, so yeah, he forgot to quickly check for any pins.
what a blunder for a world champion! it would look quite ok for a 1500 like me but certainly not befitting a player like Magnus.
Wow. Just a simple tactic
Ding is really looking a lot like his mom. Nice photo...
Wow even I saw that blunder and I'm rubbish let me tell you
Why do they call it "slow rapid"? Why not something more classy like "accelerated classical"?
From "so there you have it; you/we can enjoy that a little bit..." to "Now that that's been said and shown, let's check out this very nice game." 😂
Mr Not So Perfect lol
How many rating he lost this time?
I made the same blunder. I'm as good as Magnus.
Why not call it fast classical?
Another good game played today Magnus vs some bigger fella idk his name was very tight at the end Magnus had Black does anyone know his opponents name in that game
Daniel Fridman, German GM.
@@sekirandaisaac9142yes I was watching it live just saw it on Epic Chess I think he made a couple mistakes toward the end but it was a Great Game thanks
Why did Magnus resign? Just Rxc3 and then try to exchange pawns to draw the game
It's insane that someone of Magnus's caliber could make a mistake that I would only expect from my uncle. That's the remarkable magnificence about humanity. We can be unimaginably capable and incapable at the same time.
Nah he just bored as hell with chess, like the great bobby fischer said it has become a game of preparation prearrangement and memorisation. Magnus just plays moves especially in the opening even if he knows that they are generally not great moves
yeah, he only had 12 seconds and he made that move in under 3 seconds, so yeah, he forgot to quickly check for any pins.
gg
Usually biships skewer but sometimes fork in your side.
Bishops are better than knights since it’s easier for opponent to lose sense of danger when you have the bishop 🤪🤪🤪🤪
I love watching and trying to comprehend the audacious skill of Magnus but out of all the others i think Rapport is far better than his results etc state, his ingenuity and outside the box games are amazing.
Hi
So nobody is gonna talk about why these guys are accompanied by their parents not their spouses or this is a busy spot you don't have the time to settle down, only to sit down and play. Not that it's bad their parents are there don't get me wrong, they watched their children's talents blossom from tender ages and they are eternally proud...
I wonder why ding doesn’t suffer for his country’s actions like a lot of Russian players
Magnus is starting to play some basic errors. Also against the 10-year-old grandmaster recently.
Is he slipping?
6 tournament victories in a row inclduing this one, I doubt he is slipping
Can't believe Magnus would blunder a piece like that
Wow what a Game Fantastic moves by Rapport in the end Love it what a fantastic ending beating Mighty Magnus
I want to know Whether 2300 rated GM is strong or IM 2700 RATED.
Surely a IM 2700 Rated is an exception (an excellent talented who cannot have opportunities to get GM norms) while GM 2300 occurs (ELO rating can drop slowly)....so usually the answer is NO...but chess is sport....so never believe the on-paper level assessments.
@dominiquelaurain6427 but you know GM is the highest title you can get, Soo probably GM has more Positive sides in him(just my opinion) but as you said, chess is sport, so let's just believe in that :))
It’s impossible to be IM and 2700. Did you mean 2500?
Isn't 2700 stronger by definition? ELO rates the performance and doesn't care about titles afaik
King Richard over King M. Tough blunder
pretty amazing that magnus missed that fork in rapid play
yeah, he only had 12 seconds and he made that move in under 3 seconds, so yeah, he forgot to quickly check for any pins.
Is it just me or Magnus has actually started blundering pieces often lately?
Unfortunately, taunting carlson won't work, he's "just doing what make him happy".
Contemporary moral sentiment is awful, but it is what it is.
Magnus quote is a little dellusional. Fabi needs to get passed Nepo first 😅
Nepo sucks, Fabiano is the 2nd best player in the world and the only one who deserves to be World Champion if Magnus doesn't want to waste his time defending the title pointlessly.
@tomatoisnotafruit5670 We saw how those ratings helped Fabi last 2 times. You mean 2nd highest rated. Nepo mopped the floor up. Nepo is more prepared and I think Nepo wins again. Whether he beats Ding this time, idk but I doubt Fabi beats Nepo. Either way, Nepo will likely play Ding again. We will see.
Also, anything with a seed is considered a fruit.
@@hp7639 Fabi is second best in the world, and i'm not talking about just rating.
Nepo is lazy, thats why he lost to Ding and that's why he will lose to whomever
and Tomato is not a fruit, and neither is a cucumber, don't be a dumbo
@tomatoisnotafruit5670 He was second best in the world. How do you call someone second best in world that has not proven that in the last 4 years? If he beats nepo and qualifies to play Ding I would agree if he goes on to also beat Ding. Until then, Nepo was the runner up last four years making him the 3rd best. Ding is the 2nd best as of now (classical).
Magnus thinks Fabi is second best but if he loses again and doesn't make it to championship match will you still say he is second best missing 6 years of being runner up?
And don't be a moron kid. Google is free if you want to know if tomato is a fruit or not. If you are a moron that wants to make up your own definitions then let's just say Giri is the best in the world.
@@hp7639 you are the moron who thinks a cucumber is a fruit lmao.
Ding was not and is still not 2nd best as he didn't play enough games to stay in contention and now that he is playing we all see how much he sucks, and obviously Nepo is even worse than Ding since he couldn't even beat garbo Ding.
So yes, Fabi has been the second best player in the world after Magnus.
Really doing Rapport dirty with that pic @agadmator

Insolence:
Insolence refers to disrespectful or rude behavior, often characterized by a lack of regard for authority or social conventions. It involves arrogance, impudence, or contemptuousness towards others.
