@@keeperofthelight9681 I dont see how being disappointed changes anything in a positive way. The issue that caused the anger in the first place remains unchanged. Sounds to me like a way of justifying not doing anything to stop the downfall of things we deem important. Thoughts ?🤔
@JSSTyger 0 seconds ago Here I am saying "why didn't Magnus play that?" Then I check out my move and it makes a completely winning position a dead draw.
Please, on every event people should reminds kids to handshake both players, that was hard to watch. I know they arent being mean, but they must know if they are going to make the first move of an important chess game
Agreed, the kids just needed to have someone supervising to say "Ok, now you can make the first move on the board, now you can shake Magnus' hand, Ok, now shake Richard's hand, Ok, now we need to leave". Why is that difficult? It just makes me feel so bad for Richard who is an incredible player, but didn't even get a hand shake.
It was hard to watch those kids didnt handshake Rapport, but that was on the kids, none even realized apart from Richard. The glass of water probably Magnus asked for it, i mean, it's known that every chess player can drinks whatever they want while they play, except alcohol of course
@@juliocadavid6640get a grip. They would’ve have shaken Magnus’ hand if he didn’t offer it, they were ready to leave after moving the piece. Quit being such a snowflake.
I'm curious where are the security protocols here. There's multiple camera guys right behind them, which is incredibly distracting and unprofessional (speaking as a professional videographer myself), and a woman walking behind them with her mobile phone taking videos and photos while they're playing. Unbelievable how unprofessional that is, and any of those devices could be used for cheating, especially the woman with the mobile phone. How is that allowed?
Agreed, Trent can be so smarmy and cringy. An IM can be a great host and complement a GM’s analysis by asking good questions, translating higher level ideas to less strong chess players, and managing the time and flow of conversation. But he is HORRIBLE at this! He oscillates between overconfident proclamations and abject self-flagellation at lighting speed and sucks up so much of the energy making things about himself. And trying too hard to be impressive or funny… he just needs to chill out a bit and be more humble and curious. Would improve by leaps and bounds.
It's so sad seeing Richard getting denied the handshake at the beginning
I felt that man ):
True 😢
He seems to be a great guy.
That was painful. They only had eyes for Magnus 😢
Bruh those are darn kids
Who is won
The electronic board being faster than the otb moves kind of make me mad 😡
Don’t be mad be sad, if you can turn anger to disappointment you have made a positive impact in life -Alain De Botton the Philosopher
@keeper brilliant!

@@dansrod5952 Yes, I am now angry for we should be angry.
Giri is a great commentator. Good speed, good insight, and seamlessly puts in references to other games and players.
Disappointed Rappaport didn't go for it with 3.Be3!?

Clown comment, get a grip.
the Magnus effect strikes again
Richard's biggest loss was in the first 10 seconds.
"Richard Rapport" you can hardly make it more french despite the fact that he's somehow not french
Oh, so funny. Carlsen gets a handshake from the kids and a glass of water. And Rapport gets..? :).

Y'all leave them kids alone.

Those kids are the reason Richard lost. It's all he could think about.
