- This is my second push mower rig being used to mow a steep bank. The six 20” push mowers cut a path almost ten feet wide in a single pass. Nothing has been done to them that prevents them from still being used like a normal push mower which makes them handy to disconnect and mow around things closely. Gang mower rigs like this work to cut steep banks and large flat sections too. This rig provides a wide cut path and very good cut quality as the individual mowers flex separately while being pulled together so that they fallow the shape of ground they are being pulled across

The work smarter - would be to just accept the grass to grow naturally on the slope. Maybe a few colorful weed flowers would thrive. But hey, nothing more fun than testing an idea like that!

I'm a licensed plumber, and back when I was an apprentice I had a older journeyman tell me once,

yeah except you can do this with one mower. its called mowing the lawn like a normal person. there's only one gas tank and one bag of grass trimmings and one engine that could potentially fail instead of 6. probably would take like an hour total. its funny but not all that practical when you think about it this guy is just a hoarder.

I was assigned to Fort Campbell, KY, in 1987. I never found out if the guys involved were on detail, or just being punished, but there was a group we called the Fort Campbell Precision Lawn Mowing team. There would be up to 10 soldiers pushing lawnmowers in an offset formation just like these minions, cutting areas like the parade ground and grassy areas around headquarters buildings. To their credit they kept a tight formation!
Were they awarded any medals for their tour of duty in the outfield?

Towards the end I thought you got stuck on the fire hydrant. Laughing to myself I thought that was an amateur mistake. Then, blown away when you unhooked the suspect mower, finished around the hydrant and hooked it up to the train again like a real pro. 🤑😎

I built something to do this with that is similar and not as extreme with fewer decks and only after 3 years of regular and constant brainstorming. Not only is this one of the best solutions-for-specific-problem solves I've ever seen on *any* subject, the video showing it off deserves a level of appreciation above even the mowing apparatus. If I took acid while thinking about my ditch mowing build, this is the dream I'd expect to have. 😊❤
I remember the day Bolens shut down, my grandfather, who worked there for 50 years, had the “honor” of locking the door.
You knew right where to take the turn at that ditch, what a great tail whip!

Brilliant system! When I was a kid, there was a guy who ganged mowers in a triangle behind his rider to mow his corner lot. My dad laughed at him but I was envious because we only had one push mower and six boys to get the yard mowed. Our yard was way bigger than his too!

Work smarter not harder.That worked out great for all those contours.
I've been thinking about doing something like this with about 2 or 3 mowers welded together and pulling them with my side by side. My property is rocky, steep, and lots of trees, so I've been spending days removing rocks, and it seems to never end. Weed eating takes me about 7 days, and you have to wait until June when everything is dead. This is brilliant! I'm glad I came across your video. I will definitely scrap my thoughts for this idea. This could work! Suscribed. 🙏
Update: I mounted/welded a plate on the front top of my lawn mower with 2 large threaded bolts. Then, I attatched a trailer hitch to a "boat trailer" 7' flex rail board. Drilled 2 holes in it to fit the lawn mower and just slide it on/off with 2 locking nuts. Please tell the wifey I need her to buy me some extra mowers now because I only have one. 😅🤣😂 It's working great pulling behind my side by side. I found the flex board floating in Shasta Lake and removed it so nobody got hurt or ran over it. I kept it in case I could use it for something. You and God rewarded me for that. Since I bought my house 2 years ago, I've been thinking of attaching several push mowers together to pull behind my 4-wheeler, but I haven't been able to figure out how to connect them in a way that provides a cut that doesn't leave stripes of missed grass, and also still allows the rig to turn effective. I've been brainstorming all kinds of complicated ideas, but after seeing this solution I believe my search is over. This looks fairly easy to modify the mowers and works extremely well. Thank You for this truly great idea.

I just found this channel today. This is the second video I watched from the channel. I hit like and subscribed based on the first video, where you built the cage around the welder. I liked how you explained everything, so I started watching this video. This has to be one of the most brilliant ideas I have ever seen.
