  • Answering How much does a New Ventrac 4520 tractor cost?, as well as comparing it to a similarly powered Kubota L2501 compact tractor and looking at equipping it with a canopy and mower. The comparison is a vary narrow one that only looks at utilizing the machines for home/homestead use and does not explore the comparison a business owner would make in selecting these two machines. I believe in that case the Ventrac features start to outweigh the lower price of the Kubota L2501, but that may be a video for another day.
    If you have been watching the channel lately you have a seen a Ventrac 4520P tractor with HQ682 Tough Cut mower deck, canopy, fan, and dual wheel accessories. Lots of folks wanted to know how much the Ventrac 4520P is. I also compare it to a Kubota L2501 tractor to try and get some real world numbers.

    Almost twice
    The cost of a 2 Series tractor fully loaded.. Worth every dime!
    I’m a home owner, I don’t use a tractor to earn money. I’m coming from City life and now manage out 12 acres I’d WV Rocky ridges and slopes.
    We decided against a typical tractor and got a 4500z with a 72” finish mower. A standard 2 series (we almost went Deere or Bobcat due to the local dealers being very abundant here). I discovered Ventrac and even though it was more invenstement it’s perfect for our land.
    I’m going to invest into a classic Deere 112 to help with some of the areas I’d rather not take the Ventrac.
    We did get a steal. We were able to get a demo with 31 hours with the 8 wheels, fenders, 12v hook up for a huge discount.
    We paid MSRPnfor the finish deck.
    I hope to add a power bucket, grapple, a tough cut, 3 in 1 and the hydraulics to run the back for a scoop as time goes along.

    We have a ventrac it's gonna run circles around any traditional tractor brush cuter simply by the way its designed. Having the attachment uo front is way more efficient. Its also gonna be able to get in tight spots that a normal tractor won't go. Most importantly imo its not gonna tear up the yard wet or dry.

      The Ventrac also shines on steeper hills (up to 30 degrees intermittently, as equipped). I doubt the Kubota can do that anywhere nearly as effectively as the Ventrac.

    Thanks for the comparison. For me personally, I like the fact that Ventrac went the extra mile to add such a diverse inventorry of attachments matched exactly for the Ventrac models instead of a Kubota customer having to research generic attachments for their attachment weights, types of coupling and hydraulic flows etc.
    In my opinion, the Ventrac system is a significantly better value even though it's price tag may be higher.

    Not only is front attachments superior in almost every way, the Ventrac's options for attachments is where the unit shines. If you're running a business then there's no question. That Ventrac is going to make you money. From Bush Hogging to finish mowing to power raking to the vacuum for mulching and sucking up leaves in the fall. It does it all exceptionally good. But like he said, if you're just knocking down empty lots a few times a year and use it for other jobs that need the front loader, it may be your best option

      Although you can get a bucket and grapple for the Ventrac, I don't know how well it would work for clearing logs. I think it's disadvantage is the lighter capacity of the bucket and overall lighter weight of the tractor. The advantage would be it's ability to work better on steeper hills. How well it would work on steep hills for clearing logs is something I'd like to see, too.

  • @kdegraa
    @kdegraa Před 2 lety

    Two big advantages of a traditional tractor over a Ventrac is a traditional tractor can have a much better loader than a Ventrac and a bigger tractor can be bought at the same price as a smaller Ventrac. For example I bought a 52hp Kubota MX5200 tractor for around $4k more than a 25HP diesel Ventrac. The tractor came with a loader rated to lift 825kg and with a 4 in 1 bucket.
    In a perfect world I’d have a Ventrac and a skid steer. I do not live in this world so I have a jack of all trades, a tractor.
