Kali Linux 2022.4 in Virtualbox for Windows 11

i installed kali linux but when i run the command sudo apt upgrade and rebooted the machine it gives me error " unable to mount root fs on unknown block"

I keep having an error at the point of Select and Install software:
After the bar filled up, I get:
"An installation step failed. You can try to run the failing item again from the menu, or skip it and choose something else. The failing step is: Select and install software."

you need to enable the feature in your PC's BIOS... getting to the BIOS will depend on the brand of PC. You might need to google that
