Yeah I has issues with the iso file as well so I used the 7zip coming from hyper v the vmware isn't making it easy to learn it's different but have to learn lol thanks for the video. This helps alot.

Hi David, great video love it. Just have a question, I am quite new to virtual box and have tried installing Kali with an iso. But when I try to play youtube in the Kali VM it is quite laggy and slow. Is there any fixes to this? Gave it 4 cores and 4 GB Ram.

When I installed kali in the computer with virtualbox , I see Lan card only.
The wireless adaptor not found , I think have some problem about wirless driver on kali linux

If you add the Kali Iso file than the distro is set on Linux ===> Ubuntu64. Can you leave it that way or do have to change it to Debian 64?

Hi David! It's my first time with this "type of things". Is it actually safe that I install kali linux via virtual box without affecting the computer in the least from a possible hacker attack while I practice? Or is it better that I do all this on a PC that I no longer use? I have this doubt, in fact I would not install it on my main pc for fear that something will happen maybe... Yes they are persistent. You can use snapshots if you want to jump to different configurations / points in time.

David: Do you ever use Windows Hyper-V? You use Virtual box and others under W11, why not native Hyper-V?

Hello David, thank you very much for this delightful Tutorial, in one of your many videos you mentioned, that the Wifi Adapters will show up in Virtualbox as eth0, i have the awus036acm and i am not able to get this dongle to work, could you show us how to proper setup for the USB-Wifi-Cards in the Virtualbox edition, as follow up video?
PS: i used the ISO version to install Kali, and did a update/upgrade, just so you know.

Just for People who dont find the SVM setting on MSI. It is under the OverClocking Tab, all the way down under the CPU options.
This may sound like a daft question to people more experienced. Can I/should I install a vpn &/or antivrus on a live bootable version of kali since I'll be using it on my network?
I've used Kali in VirtualBox since Jan but i didn't know i can change the network settings and use ssh to connect my host to VirtualBox online. Have you ever used Hyper V software that comes built into Windows 11 pro so you can use VM's without VMware or VirtualBox and can use the full power of the laptop
The Kali USB didnt work out for me even after trying alternatives. Maybe 16gb usb is too small? But the good news is this worked for me. Thanks David.

Omg my system just completely updated yesterday and I had a nightmare trying to get this on it alot of the fundamentals where there but it has changed so much none of theses processes actually worked so I had to just do dodiliagence to get this system up and running 😅. It'd be great for newbies if you could update this video because if it wasn't for my experience with dos mode I don't think I would have ever got it up and running 😊. I just feel sorry for that new user that has no previous knowledge like I do In Mac dos mode to try and get this downloaded and up and running it even had me using skills that I had learned from the 80s and early 90s😅

I am following Occupy the webs book "Linux basics for hackers" while trying to install kali on a VM it detects iso image as Ubuntu version, but OTW instruction says to choose debian. What am i missing here? I downloaded latest iso file from Kali's official website. Very new learner.
May i check how do you access kali via web? just by changing the network to bridged adapter?
I run Kali on WSL2 and X window Win Kex, and on a VM too, both runs perfectly, I can even passthrough USB ports for attacking serial devices.

I've done exactly whatever you have told.. i installed the latest Kali version 2023.4 and didn't had any 7z file and but it was showing directly in VirtualBox
But when I started the machine it got aborted my visualisation is enabled and my computer support Hyper V
