You have to remember this is both Amy and Sheldon's first relationship so they may not follow standard relationship troupes. Amy always wants to do what Penny does because she is living the youth she was never allowed to have.
Real missed opportunity for Howard to have a genuine father-son moment here.

Helium is 6 times lighter than air, so gives your voice a higher tone for a short time until you've breathed out all the Helium
Sulfur Hexafluoride is the opposite, 6 times heavier than air, it lowers your tone for a short time
So yes, it lasts a short time
Sulfur Hexafluoride is also more dangerous to inhale if I recall correctly; taking in too much can be fatal. I'm sure taking in too much helium can be fatal too, but it would take a LOT more from the *tiny* bit of chemistry I know.

My favorite scene is honestly Amy and Sheldon - she absolutely killed him with kindness, and it's amazing XD. I love her grin at the end.
Being happy is Sheldon's kink, so clearly he's not comfortable embracing it yet lololz. Also the space thing reminds me of a scene from Modern Family, which I think you'd really enjoy. I'm rewatching a lot of episodes and they never get old. It is another long series though (11 seasons), so when you're done with TBBT in what 2 years, you can spend another 4 years on Modern Family 😂

I think there are astronauts who unfortunately did not go to space but unlike Howard they are/were actually astronauts.
Just goes to show that in many ways Amy is a lot smarter than Sheldon.
Well there are different types of intellect, Sheldon beats almost everyone academically and some trivia facts, but when it comes to social, street smarts, psychology, humor, romance etc. he’s somewhat lacking compared to his friends.

Didn't he mean the happiest 600 hours of his childhood? 600 hours is 25 days, so it's not all that much.

I used to think that too but I think he's just a smart guy. He remembers all the details which help him to predict things but he sometimes predicts the dialogues word for word which is really difficult to do on your first watch.
