  • I recently picked up a new travel tripod and I have been impressed by this tripod since I found out about it, a sub $300 carbon travel tripod that is strong and tall yet weights less than 1KG. This isn't a sponsored video and I purchased this with my own money with no special deals that others would be able to get.
Here’s the tripod which is featured in this video sirui-photo.com.au/product/si...
I hope the tripod will last and that I will find a way of being able to clean this so I get the most use out of it as possible.
Update. A few weeks after getting this the leg clamp broke and there was no way of fixing it so it was binned. If you do buy this tripod just know it won’t last as long as a simple screw lock or flip lock would. Also with the others you can service most of the big brands yourself.

I think that this size tripod is exactly what a traveler needs.

    Really good review. Thank you.

Thanks for the review, mate. It's always a challenge with travel tripods as you know I've been using the Ulanzi and it's still going well. I did have to replace one of the legs because it stopped working, but I think that was because it was faulty but overall it was pretty good and I'm still using it... Generally speaking though I'm a fan of clips as opposed to screws but this is almost the same thing. I will definitely check this out.

Thanks for the review, do you think there would be any way to add spikes to the feet, even DIY job?

  • @lipardfilm

Sirui is the brand that you have to try yourself and you will be amazed by the quality.

Weirdly, on the website the model you're naming costs more, weights more and looks different! And have ten layers of carbon fibre instead of three (which is good, and yet)

Why would you move back to the uk 😂
