- This time capsule of a bike belongs to a friend of a friend and I have the pleasure to revive this classic which has sat since 1990. I'm going to get it in running order and back on the road!

Nice bike! I bought a 75 Twinstar for my wife to learn to ride on,and a 74 for parts with no title. Hopefully this spring I can spend time getting it going.

@@Garage2Trail taking every nut and bolt off. Wasn’t bad had to have it bored. But about fifty percent back together. Bad thing is it has two carbs.

Amazing how it came to life after 30 years. It reminds me of the Honda CD200 and the more expensive Hawk 250/400. Valves are easy to check and reset. Those Honda exhausts rusted terribly even in a dry climate. What is it with mice and air filters? They always seem to live in there.
Typical Honda quality! Yeah, I think the mice find a nice open area to hide with filter material to eat or use as a nest lol
What a nice little project, even the brakes should be easy as they're drums front and rear. I wonder if the tank is so clean inside because there was less ethanol in the petrol back then? Thanks for posting !
That’s a good point! That may explain the spotless fuel tank.
If you cant find an airfilter, it looks like the same cage is used on an XL - twinair do a replacement foam for that cage 👍🏻
Thank you for the tip! Luckily I was able to find an OEM Honda filter element.
Dont fit a 6v battery convert it to 12v, they dont have a regulator they use the battery to limit the voltage, the alternator should peak 14v or more, change all the bulbs to 12v, and change the twin coil to a 12v one
