Fast track to hitting the brakes with some vagus nerve stimulation, aka gut smash.
Reminder: “Nerves are king of the breath, breath is king of the brain.” Lengthen that exhale.

Thanks K-Star! As I was watching, I thought about combining a gut smash with a keg mob to get the t-spine/the heart chakra opened up as well. Makes sense to me that the combination would really create an awesome sense of chill. Definitely gonna teach this to my students. Thank you!

Harry Pollard That’s your abdominal aorta pulsating.
I don’t love the idea of gut smashing so much. However the breathing tips are great for de-stressing.
There are many nerve plexuses within the abdomen (not just the vagal branches). Although I don’t think “gut smashing” is inherently dangerous, I don’t see it’s efficacy when self-administered. If you are a highly trained and experienced manual therapist of some kind you may be able to provide physiological benefits with the use manual manipulation, however I wouldn’t recommend people start smashing their abdomen to provide “vagal” feedback when there’s a lot more going on in the abdomen to be considered.
      Stick to the breathing.
