- Hello and welcome back to Nostalgia Rewind! It's about time I made an episode on Wii Sports Resort, as it's one of my favorite games of all time. This game totally still holds up today, and it was so much fun to go back and replay all the sports for this video. Thanks for watching!

Island flyover was my everything. Seriously my comfort game. I miss it so much. I’m considering buying the Wii again just to play this again. Brought me so much joy and comfort & was so therapeutic

Island Flyover is still one of the best things Nintendo has made.
Wii Sports Resort has some of my best memories because it was the only game I didn't feel complete trash at(I was a god at wakeboarding, still am) so every time I open up my closet and find my Wii and Wii U, I feel the INSANE urge to set it up and play. If anyone who's played it before is with me at my house, you can bet I'm bringing it out. Anyone who's willing to go back in time to some of the best days of video games, we're doing it.
Exact same with Mario Kart Wii in my house.

Me and my friends got out my Wii a few days ago and I have loved reliving the nostalgia. It is the best memories of my life, being a little kid while all of my siblings were still at home playing the Wii on Saturday mornings.
I am proud of myself, yesterday I beat the basketball champion, and today I beat Matt in swordplay, one of the greatest moments of glory in my life 😂😎

Bowling, golf, swordplay and archery was my favoritesports
i am romanian. i moved to england for a while, than moved back to romania. it was 2015-2016, i was 8-9 years old. i would spend countless hours playing trying to beat every level in showdown, grinding to get to matt on duel, every once in a while i would play basketball with my father, but most often than not, it was just me playing. i would constantly do the six day cycling minigame. i look back on those days fondly, playing mario kart wii, making sure i got all the vehicles and characters. i remember my fascination with all those cool shortcuts.
i wish i could go back now. all of my motion-plusses are broken, so i can't play wii sports resort anymore. i wanna go back.
Wii Remote Pluses are a-plenty in secondhand electronics/media stores, at least where I live.
Always regretted not getting this game back in the day. I would be so down if Nintendo re-released it on the Switch with online play, or better yet, made a sequel. Likely wishful thinking though.

Every time I watch one of your videos about this game, I'm just filled with this pure, unbridled joy. Just as you, this is of my favourite games of all time, beyond any nostalgia I have for it, and to see someone else who shares a deep love for it just makes me so happy.

I actually used to pretend the whole swordplay mode was a campaign. You'd start by training with speed slice. Then go through all the levels of showdown. And then duel would be like the final boss

The basketball game has a special place in my heart! There's just nothing more enduring then watching a bunch of sausages shoot a basketball with there non existing arms

The Island Flyover mode is perfect, except it has one big flaw. *There's a time limit!* Like it's completely fine to have it to see how many i-points you can collect in five minutes. But why is there still a time limit when you turn off the i-points, and just want to screw around flying over Wuhu Island. It always felt annoying that after 5 minutes, I'd have to go through some menus, and then start over, and not from the location where you left off.
The best you’ll get is Island Cycling on Wii Fit Plus. You get 30 minutes to roam Wuhu Island as you please.
This game had so much nostalgia for me. The childhood memories of my friend and I pretending to actually be on Wuhu island(which was not hard because of miis) is always something I love to think about. Those were some of the best days of my life. Not only is the game fun, the memories are my favorite part. I hope one day for a game where you can explore wuhu island without limits.
Still play this game with my siblings, and it still provides endless hours of fun!

I’m a huge star wars fan and I especially love the dueling so naturally a one on one, red vs blue, swordfighting mode has and will always peak my interest. This game mode alone will probably be enough for me to buy a wii so i can play this

Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking, because I'm a teen born in 2007 and the Wii was my first console ever, but I feel like that era was the best one Nintendo had ever had. I just can't explain how I feel when watching or playing games like Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort (Wii Sports is the first game I've ever played) with my family or alone
My friend has a Wii with Wii Sports Resort, and its such a good game! We still sometimes play it, and it never gets old. Even though it sold really well, I personally believe it should have sold like 100 million copies. Nice video, really well made!

As hyped as I am for Nintendo Switch Sports, I would still really love to see Wuhu Island again....just a game where you got to run around, paraglide, canoe etc.

This is probably my favorite game of all time. I wish they would remake it 1 to 1 but with upgraded graphics and maybe new golf courses and stuff while leaving the mechanics exactly the same! I played this game practically every weekend for a decade!
Of course everything talked about during the video makes the game amazing, but let's not forget the amazing soundtrack that makes WSR the most memorable game ever! All those little variations on a similar theme is part of what makes it so

I love Wii Sports Resort! My brother and I used to play this game all the time! Feels like nostalgia every time we play this game today. Swordplay, Basketball, and Ping Pong are my favorites! In our household, these are classics on top of wakeboarding, frisbee dog, archery, Golf, and Bowling. I also love cycling, skydiving, and dogfight/island flightover. I am not a big fan of canoeing and Power Crusing, but I could not imagine Wii Sports Resort without these sports. My brother and I have both beat Lucia in Ping Pong.
Night time and sunset are my two favorite in game times to play.
I'll admit, I wish Wuhu Island was real! I bet many people would visit a real life Wuhu Island.

I just graduated High School last week and I was just thinking back on my memories of this game. I used to play this with my siblings and cousins in my childhood. I was obsessed with this game in Kindergarten and I would pretend I was in the game at recess. One time I was too focused on pretending to be in the cycling game that I actually refused when another student asked me to play with them and they started crying. We all did things as kids we regret now. Now I just make fun of that moment every time I think of this game and I almost got emotional typing this comment🥲
I'm happy I grew up jumping off the plane in Wii Sports Resorts. Before my Wii broke down I remembered so vividly coming back home from school I would always boot it up after finishing homework just to take in the amazing view the plane game had to offer.

The Wii Sports games from the Wii is at its peak in my opinion. They need to reach a new peak of Wii Sports Resort.

To this day, this is one of the best Wii games. It took a glorified tech demo that was already replayable, and turned it into one of the best minigame collections out there.

Wii Sports Resort, and especially Island Flyover, is such an immaculate, beautiful vibe that makes me feel good every time I just think about it. I chase that type of vibe to this day.

I wish I could say the same, but I think the series is at it's worst right now. New entries in a series should strive to be better than the last ones but Switch Sports perfectly comfortable sitting in last place. Switch Sports has six minigames. That is the same amount of games as the ORIGINAL Wii Sports and two of those games are near damn identical. It's barley competing with the first game and the best part is that's not even the compettition It's going up against Sports Resort, which has TWELVE minigames with numerous sub games to go along with it. Whenever I criticize Switch Sports people say "Yeah, but as long as they add DLC it's fine" which I personally think is really stupid. Yeah, they're probably gonna give it 40$ DLC to add in the rest of the games, but how is that a good thing? Nintendo fans don't know how to admit when something is bad. Like just take a step back, even if they do add DLC (which they totally will) are you really going to be happy paying for games should have been there in the first place? Companies should ship games finished, not fix it later after taking even more of your money. Finish the game, then sell it. It doesn't even come with golf on launch. Golf is literally one of the most iconic games in the series and it's not coming till later this summer. If that doesn't scream rushed cash grab I don't know what does. I wish I liked Switch Sports like everyone else but unless they release a sort of "Switch Sports Resort" game in the future I can't see myself ever liking it.

I'd love for a remaster and expansion of Wii Sports Resort for the switch. This game was my childhood and I still love it to this day. Watching this video made me smile seeing all my favourite sports and having a wave of nostalgia flood over me. One of my favourite games of all time
I bought this game the day it came out back in the day & always had a blast playing it with my mom almost every evening over the years as well as several other Wii games. My favorite Sport in this package is Archery, the worst is Canoeing for sure. Can't wait for Nintendo Switch Sports!

I find it really funny how different our experiences were, I loved canoeing and I was pretty good at it, I hated basketball because it always just felt clunky and it was difficult
On Table Tennis VS mode, if you hold down the 2 button when you press OK to play, you can play an 11-point game, as well as the time now being noon.
