The more of this you watch the less you feel you know about Sam Hyde. This is an anti-documentary.
If anything I feel like this interview actually gave us a lot without explicitly saying so and I feel like that's all you need to actually know about Sam. He puts on the character of a chaotic enigma so well that its hard to decide where the character ends and begins but that's just Hyde, I think one if his crew mates explained it perfectly when they said "Nobody knows anything about anything," Basically saying that you don't know and knowing isn't actually all that important.
EDIT: And maybe thats not the intended message but I feel like that's the lesson I learned from this video and it's a good lesson to learn imo.

@@memegazer I have my doubts that she was acting. Also as soon as Ian started asking about Dani Sam shut him down immediately and said everything was fake. It seems like some meta-irony. Ian sees that his girlfriend is clearly on drugs and apparently off camera she told Ian about how Sam beats her and abuses her. Then when he is confronted about it he does the whole "what? nah she ain't my girlfriend. I was just joking." Sam also said some contradictory stuff about her. He says that he has known her for a long time. Then he says he thinks she is the friend of an ex from art school as if he doesn't know her that well. He also says that she was on drugs before she met him but then says she doesn't do drugs and that she does hair and nails. The biggest red flag with Dani to me is the fact that she was the only one who didn't appear out of character once it was revealed everything was fake. Everyone else was there at the end to say "Yeah everything I said was bullshit lol" so why wasn't Dani there too dressed and acting normal so she could be like "Yeah I bet you really thought I was crazy putting my hands in your pockets and asking how much your head weighs." Idk I don't think the Dani stuff was fake.

The reveal was delivered excellently, not just in its comedic timing, but because the shock of the revelation completely derailed any other line of questioning Ian had planned on. You can see how frustrated he is the next day upon realizing this.
It's a shame sam really does seem to think it was all intended to be a "hit piece" brought on by some years-long demonetisation grudge because ian was pretty clear here that it wasn't. kinda shot himself in the foot by assuming that and then not opening up

Also nobody is shooting themselves in the foot for not divulging details of their personal lives. That's just not taking the gun in the first place. Simply put, it's not Ian's business.
How Ian didn't realize it was a bit after 15 minutes is beyond me. He had to of been foaming at the mouth for this hit piece to not have gotten it right away.
