The Series X is my main console and have been a supporter of them since the X360 launch. I love Gamepass but they've let me down so many times on the exclusive promises and just not quite living up to what I'd like them to be. There's been multiple E3's where I've been a little disappointed and the whole "wait til next year" is annoying. That said they're still my favorite and I'll support them for as long as I can still game. They just have been without for so long that it's annoying lol
I will continue to support them just for being relatively consumer friendly compared to competitors, ESPECIALLY backwards compatibility.
Xbox should really start to be more present and deliver what they promise, 2023 is their last chance to keep me as a customer.

It wasn't just that they had nothing to show at the game awards, they also had almost nothing even nominated at the game awards because they released almost nothing in the previous year. Buying all these studios means nothing if none of them release games. It's well past time to release some games that take advantage of the hardware we have owned for quite some time now. We have not even gotten what would have been a decent console launch line up yet. Time to put games in the players hands.
But xbox fans seem to only care about xbox live. Rather thats a coping mechanism or real sentiment Microsoft is following suite, giving you guys old games to play on your beloved gamepass.
Some people are rushing for starfield to come but I don't mind if they take a long time making it because I want this game to look good and feel right 👍💯💯
I mean, they did that to themselves by stating that the game will get released in the next 12 months in the past Xbox showcase. So now they have to keep the promise somehow.

When the rumors appeared about a show I got hyped. Then I read Windows Central article and of course, of course the one game I am waiting for is doubtful to be featured. A new format for a show and you don't feature your flagship title because it may have its own Direct? Not a fan, can't help but fearing a delay coming too. Unless they let us know during this Direct or very, very soon after. I was very hopeful for a April release for Starfield but not so much right now.
I think starfield, as big as it is should at least get some type of mention or comment from Todd.

I was Team February but honestly I'd be happy for sooner than later, so losing this isn't going to hurt in any fashion xD I'm wondering if Developer_Direct will switch to say Bethesda Direct, Tango Direct, ID Direct, etc. Meaning that it gives spotlight to the individual Xbox Studios or Umbrella groups in the case of their publishing houses? Some fanciful musing. I do agree about the criticism on setting expectation but I believe that in the case of the Game Awards, it may have caused harm to the show if they said "don't expect anything from us" at it. Similarly, if they say they do have something, I think it ALSO detracts from the Game Awards.
Ultimately, fans of gaming do not understand the Showmanship involved in this industry. Which is bizarre that so many don't given how long they've been playing/following it.

If they give us a release date for Starfield at this showcase, I'll be happy. That's the one thing I need to know is when Starfield comes out. Tbh we don't need another deep dive for it since we already know the core tenets of the game. We just need to know when we can get our hands on it.

starfield looks like some sf from the late eighties. If you look at it this way, the design has its charm, the choice of colors and the atmosphere, music reflect the atmosphere of those times. awesome
80s scifi is the best, alien and aliens still way beter then any scifi movie of the last 30 years by design.
I don't know how anyone seen that gameplay and thought LFD or BFB it literally played nothing like them when they gave the interview saying it was FC2 or Stalker like I was like how could people see you exploring and taking your time and not get that feeling from the beginning.
I think it was people hoping/coping that Redfall would be a bad, underwhelming game. Or people who haven’t really played Arkane games and don’t understand they’d never just make a horde shooter.
@Patrick it's just I played both LFD and BFB and I seen the video arkane put out for Redfall the marketing was on point for what type of game it was supposed to be how anyone didn't see atleast borderlands is smoking something crazy no one has ever compared borderlands to LFD so how did we get there with Redfall lol

Since Series X launch I've figured all those titles underway will launch eventually, so the further back things get pushed, the more likely it seems like the Series X is positioned to have a PS4 type golden second half of lifetime.

Sony is short-sighted. If they were smart like Microsoft, they'd concentrate on make a game distribution service (PlayStation Plus) the dominant global ecosystem. And have publishers pay them royalties and license use fees in-perpetuity for the privilege of selling software on that ecosystem. Afterall, that's where the REAL money is. That's what MS did with MS-DOS in the 80's, every iteration of Windows beginning in the 90's, and various business software ecosystems.

One big reason they have been so successful was because they had Microsoft servers. That’s why they focused on online games and Sony with bad servers focus on single player games

Why would they have anything Starfield related at this little event, just save it for the bigger E3. More people will be watching, nobody was looking for this to come out before summer. Just get the Starfield and Forza bundles\controllers created and get some commercials going a month before release.

I have been trying to keep my composure but I am sick of it now. Used to be as a Bethesda fan we all just chilled and then we'd get wind of a new game like a few weeks before they announced it, then it came out that November. Life was good. Since this acquisition we've had this damn game dangled in front of us like a carrot and I'm sick of it. Any joy of being a Bethesda fan has gone. Now its all console war bullshit and a bunch of people who never cared about Bethesda games forcing us out. If they don't mention something about Starfield soon enough I'm out. You have to understand, Starfield to us was a thing years ago. We've waited years. And I'm done. Maybe Xbox doesn't need Activision cause they sure as hell haven't made life better for Bethesda fans one bit. Everything we loved is a chess piece now.
Take this from someone whos been in your spot . Expand your game choices or even platforms . There is no way you should be this angry about them not showing something when u want . They can't show too much. I imagine we will get a big marketing beat a couple months before release where a ton more info is relayed to us .they already been dropping tid bits over the months

Arkane feel very "Ubisoft". Some titles (The more serious tone games) are super good. Others... feel like they are all o er the place.
Starfield just isn’t ready and Xbox is trying to hold back the bad pr of it not hitting that e3 12Month Window. You know Twitter will explode if it misses that mark. I expect it to be great but I’ll also say late summer early fall.

@@ipityplaystationpeasants2305 I've been having this conversation since december of 2021, when I saw redfall missing from tga, I was wiling to bet an arm and a leg that it wouldn't be coming out simply after an E3 presentation. People were telling me noo it can come out within a month after E3, of freaking course it didn't.
I'm not willing to have it again, people need to understand these are new IP that need months of marketing, especially startfield.
Anyway think what you like, I just won't do it for the time being, it's been three years and the only actual AAA success I give them is horizon.

But even if I give them halo, 3 games in 3 years? how is that unrealistic expectations? The expectations they set FOR THEMSELVES were 4 big AAA games per year. They haven't released 4 AAA games since the series launched.
Why is this stuff so hard for Microsoft? If Sony was promoting Redfall or Starfield everyone would know about it and more importantly be looking forward to it. It must be so frustrating for pro xbox channels like this to have to do so much seemingly extra work to try and put a positive spin on xbox products/ games when Microsoft themselves do such a shitty job with game promotion. BTW I'm an xbox fan. Just darn frustrating! All people want is for Microsoft to be great and compete, is that too much to ask?

Then there are rumors of a mid Gen upgrade. Well I paid $550 for my series X to run amazing games from MS. And I have played some amazing games, but only one was restricted to "next gen". This is bullshit at this point. 2023 better blow my damn mind or next cycle I'm going with Sony for the first time since PS3. I've had OXB, 360, One, One X, and now Series X. I'm at the end of my rope with this crap. Maybe MS should have a payment plan that doesn't start until AAA 1st party games come out. See how they like waiting.

2022 was one of x box worst years for gaming. So far I'm not super hyped for 2023. Redfall will be subpar but let's see if starfield can carry Microsoft this year since they most likely won't have any other first party exclusives this year.
Forza motor sport and stalker 2 are only on the new xbox consoles...I can't think of any game that looks more impressive tbh
@@2killzore Stalker 2 looks eh. It's graphically nice but looks very generic in terms of gameplay and aesthetic. Half of the assets look ripped from the Epic Games Store's Unreal Engine marketplace. Given that it's from an Eastern European studio, I'm not expecting optimization or controls to be the best either. But we shall see.
