What are your predictions for Xbox in 2023?
PS5 needs a redesign more than the Series Consoles. That thing is super mega fugly.
1. Xbox closes AB deal first half of 2023 and announces smaller studio acquisitions in second half
2. Xbox Series X Pro edition leaks. And yes, it’s more powerful, capable of handling 60fps+ 4k with Ray tracing on.
3. Quake (reboot), Contraband, Hellblade 2, and Indiana Jones release 2nd half 2023.
4. At least one massive 3rd party exclusive revealed
5. Killer Instinct gets a tease.

If Microsoft wants to generate incredibly positive buzz, then they need to show AAA games that gets people talking.

@@wulfhrafnragnarsson I can watch an NFL game or TV show and see a PlayStation commercial somewhere during break. I can’t recall the last time I’ve even seen Xbox advertise a game or their systems through conventional TV. You almost need to hunt intentionally for Xbox news just to see a trailer or ad on a website.
Yes indeed they do. And let's face it if you don't already have an Xbox especially after all of their recent purchases, knowing the IPs they own, and talent they have that's your loss.
A mid gen refresh some what feels like a slap in the face since the current Series X/S arent even fully utilized yet, and a price hike for GP would be a scumbag move to; considering many games already should've been out. Plus Im pretty sure will do an awful job when it comes regional pricing, and yes I realise I sound synical. This industry has shown to many times that their words mean absolutely nothing.
Agreed. This gen hasn’t really got going. That being said, I’m starting to feel that the current gen is underpowered for what’s coming from UE5.

I really want to hear about Fable, Perfect Dark and Avowed. Fingers crossed the Goldeneye refresh is awesome to play. I loved the original Goldeneye on the N64. An incredible game.

I would hate to hear anything about new hardware, considering my series X has not yet demonstrated anything impressive thus far. Make me happy about my series x purchase before you tell me something new is coming. It’s aggravating.

Sounds good, looking forward to some decent games, I personally still prefer having a disk player built in or detachable. ownership of a physical copy of a game, or Digital both options work well, together I think.

@ᛟᛟᛟ yep there's no excuse why any game should be running at 30fps on the Series X or S. Framerates are way more important than resolution.
I'm sure there will be a Performance mode.. if not someone will have a mod out within days.
Here's my predictions for 2023. And yes I'm echoing this video a bit too.
1. Starfield either April OR March even
2. Redfall may or June
3. Hell blade 2 September or October
4. Release of AVOWED in November. Man I hope this one is true so much. They need to come out with a huge resounding bang this year

What a trash year that would be. Hell blade 2 will be garbage. Avowed will get cancelled, Redfall will get a 60 on metacritic, and Starfield will get delayed until 2024.

@@JohnDoe-pu5gk nick baker from xbox era was certain that we have some type of masterchief collection in 2023. Either fable or gears, we won't have to wait long to find out. And once the coalition is finished and reveal there other ip all focus is on gears 6. So this year there side project, gears collection and maybe and hopefully a trailer for gears 6.
If MS can get Redfall, Starfield & Forza Motorsport out the door this year they can consider it a success. If they can achieve that then any other first party release will be a bonus. But let's just wait and see.
Forza is a racing game and i don't like those too much so I need a bit more

@@HawkNocturnal I think 3 first party games will be all they release this year, I think Hellblade 2, Avowed & Contraband are 2024. There will be third party exclusives coming out like Stalker 2 etc, but unless MS does a stealth release, I think that's it for this year.

I think Todd pretty much indicated that Starfield will be 30 fps- not ideal, but it needs to be locked if it is.
30fps is a joke, there's zero reason why any game should be locked to 30fps on Series X or S.
All I want is a Fenix Collection, the first 3 games remade plus Judgement.

As for dash board id love a feature to be able to use previous dashboards as it would be awesome to have the choice of which gen dashboard you want to use as id definitely use 360 blades or the avatar dash

Hellblade 2 will launch at the end of this year. At worst it will be delayed to Spring 2024.

Wish MSFT would unlock the expansion ssd to third party via a universal adapter. Smart Delivery is garbage by forcing us into using the SX version. PS5 allows us to play either ps4 or ps5 version. I don’t need a Series optimized version of Forza 4 or Star Wars Lego. Insufferable but 2023 gamepass looks dope

Diablo 4 winning game of the year is the most bold prediction for sure.
Especially since there are reports they have to crunch, cut content and reduce the scope just to hit the release date.
Not to mention that it's a live service title so it's definitely not going to be that great

I hope disc based games should stay ,i still buy disc,s i like to have a game in my hand. I think if it is only downloads thats the time when, we lose power as people over games.
Honestly I don’t think Game Pass needs to go up in price. It definitely doesn’t need to go up in price to remain competitive. Nah… if the price goes up, it’s nothing more then a cash grab.

In my opinion, we will NOT see a upgrade or redesign. This generation feels as though it only starting this year, and it really is. We'll see the first games built on UE5 and games made specifically for the X/S and PS5. This is really the opening year of these systems.

Almost 2 weeks into the new year now and Xbox is silent!! What is going on!?
I use to have gamepass, and I may get it again in the future but I'm happy with my PS5 right now. I think Nintendo, Xbox, and PlayStation have great games. All depends on what you want to play and what system you have.
In my opinion the hardware this gen will be like the end of the Xbox One gen were we had 3 consoles: Xbox One SAD has a low end alternative, the regular Xbox One represented by the S model, and the Xbox One X at the high end level of performance and visuals. I think that Microsoft will make a revised model of the Series S making it the low end alternative, they will redesign the current Series X model and will make that the standard/mid range model, then release a new enhanced console to the lineup, representing the new high end model. Since this gen is about speed and performance, I believe that the enhanced model will improve the GPU (together with more RAM), a little of the CPU clock to keep up with the new GPU, and improve the SSD speeds. Maybe this year a revised Series X first like they did with the Xbox One S, making it more available and including more game bundles.
that is what I’m waiting for, I have yet to buy a next gen Console because there are still games coming out for Xbox one.

One of my predication is that Microsoft has 3 games up for GOTY with Redfall, StarField and Diablo. Of course the other prediction is that that ABK deal closes in April. The final prediction is that Xbox overtakes PS for console sales in NA.

I'm tired that every year, they talk about how xbox is going to release a lot of new games, and the games never arrive, Microsoft xbox have to start talking less and show that they have games. I'm not a fan of Sony, I love xbox but if there's something good about Sony it's that it releases quality exclusive games and when it says it's going to bring games it doesn't fail but Microsoft has been saying the same thing for more than 4 years as if next year and nothing .
