ATAK T-129 is not a Heavy attack chopper that used against to heavy tanks etc. in conventional war! However, ıt has been also used that purpose in Azerbaijan war, Libya, Syria, Iraq etc and can do that too! T-929 Atak 2, Heavy attack chopper is gonna be finished soon to do that job!
ATAK T-129 has been in all possible kind of war scenarios in all possible geographic conditions from desert to extremely high altitude mountains, forest, heavy rain and snow, -50 Degree to + 55 Degree climate. It has been serving in the Azerbaijan, Libya, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria (probably already been tasted in the Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia etc. Balkans!). Guerilla war, unconventional and conventional war, used in areas with Russian, French, German, Chinese etc. air defense systems, weapon platforms and more!
Just the CİRİT missile that used on the ATAK T-129 has at least %35 longer range than the Hellfire! Officially declared range is 12 km! Probably reaching 20 km easy!
ATAK T-129 made to be very very light, agile, very fast and fast maneuvering chopper that can fly 200 Kph + speed inside the valleys covered with high mountains and forest, very low altitude above the rivers etc. ability to out run stinger etc anti-air missiles those fired from very close range, must handle 50 cal heavy machine gun fire and extremely heavy conflict/battle conditions! It has been doing that since 2009!
Additionally, only the exterior design of the ATAK T-129 bought from Italy to be used as a base platform for building the ATAK T-129. However, all of the avionics, electronics, wagon systems, radar, engine, rotors, shafts etc. are completely different, Turkish designed and made systems! Even the body structure and materials used to built the body has changed!
When was the last time that any unit of the Indian army/military been in a war and/or won a war!!! When was the last time that a Indian attack chopper and its pilots taken off and attacked enemy targets in enemy territory out side of their country! Did they even attacked any target within their borders!!
Turks has been fighting and/or operating nonstop since more than 2200 years! Just during the past 20 years; Iraq, Syria, Nagorno-Karabakh, Libya, Somali, all over the Balkans and Caucasia, as well as fighting fighting in its South Eastern borders, in most brutal terrorism (Unconventional, guerilla war) war for more than 30 Years, every single day!
Every single Turkish made weapon systems literally used and tested in all possible war/battle conditions around the world in real battles!

Dude. The whole Atak is taken from augusta 129 and lch is home developed. We have our own engine ready. Read up on htfe 1200. Its going for flight testing. All these systems elbit and saab systems will also be replaced progressively. Lch is the onlh helicopter in the world which can fight in even the himlayas. The speed and engine capacity mentioned have been downgraded. If u read up on lch u will know that it has radar suppressing features whearas atak doesnt have any. Anyways if u read up on lch urself you will understand the difference.

@@tospik60cgn84 atak engine is very far off. At the very least 5 years away, atak is not combat proven, augusta is. Maybe different due to something but platform and origin cannot be denied. Japanese f2 maybe different from f16 but its still a copy of f16. Atak is much more costlier than Lch. Where are you getting ur info from?
We will be ordering 150 plus lch. Our own demand will be super huge. We already have an armed helicopter version called Hal rudra. That helicopters production itself is beyond 60 plus easily. This being a dedicated attack helicopter you will see massive developments in this. Our engine is read and thats 1200kw in comparison to the 1032kw engine we already using and incidentally also own the ip rights to that as its co developed and we have no restrictions in exporting these to any country whatsoever.

I saw atak helicopter air show in teknofest today .it s beautiful machine .very handsome piece of kit, expecially when fly in air.. also loved akinci drone .it looks so fearsome with full weapons loaded..such a superp machine,true nightmare for enemies

Hal LCH good helikopter no problem but T129 Atak servis ceiling 6096 meters and full task loaded servis ceiling 3048 meters. Hal LCH servis ceiling 20000-21300 feet (6096-6500 meters) or with high occupancy task loaded servis ceiling 3048-3657 meters. they are almost the same. But the T129 Atak is a much more agile helicopter. Also smaller.
But lch is more agile as it is lighter than t129. What do you expect

LCH is much better. It has higher margins flying at those altitudes and can actually land and take off. T129 controls are close to saturation at those altitudes, and it cannot maneuver land or take off, although it can just about stay in the air at that altitude if it does not try to maneuver. T129 is not suited to high altitude.

The HAL LCH is a bit of a joke. It actually looks like someone stuck plastic boxes on the side of a poorly made chopper. Having said this I fully accept that the T129 is based on the A129, however Turkey has changed it so much in terms of power output, indigenous avionics, indigenous EWS, indigenous Navigation, indigenous Weapons systems etc etc, that it is actually almost a completely different Attack chopper. The Turkish chopper is battle proven and has earned a credible and dangerous reputation for such a small unit. Turkey is free to operate these choppers as they see fit, free from an otherwise US system where the USA dictates terms of usage. These choppers have been ordered by many countries now. At this rate Turkey will soon be unstoppable. Its seems like only yesterday the doubters and haters were trying to convince me that Turkey could never develop such complicated weapons platforms. Well guess what....suck it!
