    Looks like what the Comanche should have been.

    • @ObiTrev
      @ObiTrev Před 8 lety

      From what I can tell, the Comanche was supposed to aid the Apache in designating targets, as a support role, not necessarily a replacement to the Apache.

    • @DocWolph
      @DocWolph Před 8 lety +2

      ObiTrev
      True. However, the eventual replacement for the Apache would have come from such a helicopter.

    • @ObiTrev
      @ObiTrev Před 8 lety

      DocWolph
      So basically "Comanche Maximum Overkill"

    • @DocWolph
      @DocWolph Před 8 lety

      ObiTrev
      You are thinking or a Super Cobra,what the Comanche was actually meant to replace, but reasonably close.
      And don't be so literal. Obviously, a proper replacement for the Apache would be based only on the Comanche concept but done differently to work properly. All the added technology, weapons, and systems, would be better integrated and streamlined, with added reliability, efficiency, speed, agility, survivability in combat, and so on. It would not be a Comanche overloaded with weapons.
      Such a helicopter would be more like this Indian chopper, doing everything the Apache does, but actually or potentially, as the platform evolves, better without going overboard or trying to build "the helicopter Batman would fly".

    Sikorsky will likely make a dedicated attack helicopter using the same tech in the S-97 and SB-1. They are already partnered with Boeing for those and Boeing makes the Apache. It will have to go for bid but they will probably win it. They can stuff the cool stuff from the Apache into a Sikorsky counter rotating and pusher tail airframe and create a fast, agile, and capable package. They have already floated out such a concept to complement their other aircraft and shown it in demo video.

    India is now a super power in its own right with the twice the spending power that Germany had during ww2. India is also the Backbone of BRICS so India is to BRICS what England is to NATO and the EU. Indian Tech is also insanely Precise and deadly accurate (Brahmos missiles prove this)

    • @guddun5389
      @guddun5389 Před 7 lety +2

      brahmos is russian actually .

    • @guddun5389
      @guddun5389 Před 6 lety +1

      brahmos scramjet rocket engine and rocket motor and target seeker and even warhead is russian except its software and few other guidance hardware components .

    • @guddun5389
      @guddun5389 Před 6 lety +1

      lol , russia already had the rocket motor , the motor u talk about is upgrade of onyx missile rocket motor and the sea skimming tech u talk about is also from oynx missile as its propulsion tech is also russian , though india wanted it to be based on granit missile ,
      even israel did required indian rocket motor for barak as the israelis already got such engine tech ,
      and about the ground and support systems came from the the oynx missile .

    • @guddun5389
      @guddun5389 Před 6 lety

      oynx is an older tech that why now there are other systems to beat it so a more faster and capable missile was required and thats where brahmos came which is actually just a more refined version of oynx to overcome its shortfalls , which an another way of saying that brahmos is upgrade of already existed oynx missile , only difference is just that it is tailored with some of the indian components according to indian requirements ,
      and those indian components you said are actually comes from israelis tech ,
      so brahmos is a russian missile with israel tech and india is just a merger of those two tech partnered with both countries for licence manufacturing .

    • @guddun5389
      @guddun5389 Před 6 lety +1

      its takes decades of invention and work to perfect such tech so india cannot built a missile or its tech at such short notice and india is a newcomer compared to russia and other countries at the field of cutting edge tech, so india neither built such weapons on its own nor genuine tech inventor of such caliber .

    G'day,
    Did you ever hear of "treating the Leaves when it's the Roots that are sick.." ?
    How's about Basket-Weaving, for Diversional Therapy ; or Nero Fiddling, while Rome Burns..?
    At the moment, the biggest problem facing India is Global Warming, which has given the Sub-Continent a Drought, and some bits of the Country (40 million of them or so) are currently so short of Water that one City of 3,000,000 are relying on Trainloads of Water being shipped-in to them every day...; and the Glaciers of the Himalayas are retreating, at increasing speed, meaning regional Floods beside the Rivers in the short-term followed by empty Rivers, which become seasonal Gutters following occasional Storms..., between Droughts.
    And all that is because there's *too much Carbon Dioxide in the Air,* already.., and right now the *last* thing India (or the World) needs is yet another Fossil-Fuelled Death-Machine with which professionally violent and Nationally-paranoid individuals may massage their own Egos, while threatening their Country's neighbours (and any Citizens who dare to disagree with their own Government) with Death-From-The-Air...
    These Heligoflopters each burn 400 to 800 Litres of Kerosene per Hour, emitting between 1 & 2 Tons of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide, in the process.
    The CitiZens of India should be using Teams of otherwise unemployed Feetballers, with Ropes, to drag these useless "Attack Choppyters" into the nearest Erosion-Gully, and use them for Landfill ; without having to burn any more Fossil Fuel than they already have done...(it's a very neat solution, and in fact when Oz stopped operating the survivors of it's geriatric F-111c Fleet they were indeed used for Landfill, but I think we used Diesel-Burning Bulldozers to put them into their Holes in the Ground....).
    VOTE GREEN OR DIE. !
    Global Warming Culls....
    (And *no* other issues matter, at all, beside that fact....).
    Such is Life,
    ;-p
    Ciao !

      they are both totally different in terms of places they will operate we developed LCH for high altitude warfare and closed quarter combat thus it is very nimble and agile and will be used in himalayas and leh wheres apache is for our western neighbour to decimate their forward battalions and infantries with its heavy payload.

      ch high altitude ranges like siachen where air is too thin,or temperature is -20•c in summer or -50℃ in winter months..Apaches r beasts,they will be deployed in the plains like thar desert ,or naval bases..but lch is for Himalayan terrain fights of kashmir,himachal,uttarakhand,sikkim and arunachal..you have got the news of buying Apaches.but you should also be aware of the news that indian army and air force have both ordered 10 and 5 lch respectively,cleared by ministry of defense for induction in November ,2016...

      The Main Reason Apache is chosen is to replace Mi-24 Heavy Attack Helicopter, HAL Light Combat Helicopter is Optimised for Mountain Warfare against China and Pakistan, Over Himalayas.
      That's it, No if, No Now & Then.
      it's a Light Combat Helicopter and Apache is a Heavy Attack Helicopter, there is no comparison to begin with.

      If by progress you mean doing what the North Western Europeans did decades ago, why would there be any insecurity felt in relation to that?
