When you consider the supernatural talent of these guys especially Freddie and his absolute soul and conviction he belts this out with and the fact that he had such a tragic end… it’s a very moving few minutes. Queen has no equal.
In my younger days, I had no interest in this band but as I have gotten older, I can really appreciate the absolute power and talent that is queen.

I love this song! It was written by Brian May for the Queen Soundtrack for the movie Highlander. The main character is immortal and he has spent his life watching all the people he loved pass on while he remains young and viable. So this song sort of is written from the point of view of the main character who has to watch his wife age and pass away leaving him with yet again another heartache.

I agree! Even though he wasn't diagnosed with AIDS for another year, he must have had a good idea of what was happening. Even though the song was written for something that had nothing to do with him or Queen, it still breaks my heart every time I hear it.
