- Russia has accused Ukraine of being behind a drone attack that damaged at least two buildings in the capital Moscow early on Monday morning.
The Russian defence ministry said two drones were "suppressed and crashed", adding that there were no casualties.
Russia's state-owned Tass news agency reported that one drone fell close to the defence ministry.
Ukrainian officials are yet to comment, but they rarely claim responsibility for attacks inside Russia.

This war has been going on since 2014 after the CIA backed Maidan coup that overthrew the democratically elected leader Victor Yanukovych and installed an illegitimate ultra nationalists government with ties to nazi paramilitaries such as Svoboda and the Azov Bandera Battalion. The eastern Ukraine in the Dombass and Crimea didn't accept this new regime and became separatist independent Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk. After Ukraine failed to abide by the Minsk II peace accords and continued attacks, these Independent Republics in 2022 asked for Russian military assistance and then assimilated into the Russian Federation especially after the Kiev Regime wanted NATO membership which was a red line for the Russians since the 90s, after NATO broke agreements not to expand any further east of Germany. Every US military analysts have been warning not to cross that line, but obviously NATO hasn't got a good track record of keeping to international law or keeping agreements.

Why *shouldn’t* Ukraine be allowed to directly hit Moscow? Russia has been directly hitting Kyiv since day 1 of this war. What’s always been a bit mystifying in this conflict is how Putin/Russia get all hoity toity when they experience a direct hit on their land, yet they are seemingly allowed to hit Ukraine with impunity. They are launched inside Russia and are very difficult to shoot down because they are very cheap commercial drones flying very low. They never reach their targets too as Russia's electronic warfare is very good. These drones were jammed which is the reason they crash into the building. But of course, if you ask these brainless kids here they will claim they were launched from Ukraine and they reached the target.

Much as I support Ukraine if this was down to them then it's very embarrassing. There are so many important pieces of infrastructure in Moscow that would make easier and much better targets. And let's not forget the thousands of miles of pipelines across Russia that it's impossible to defend everywhere. These are excellent targets.
