Hi guys love tour videos so informative. I’m a builder myself. I see Tony is a builder coming from a carpentry background I love his take and approach to most things. I myself came from a groundwork start and I can’t help but worry for you guys at those depths. We work in Essex and is predominantly clay on most jobs. We use sheet piles on every foundation relatively cheaper than ply all the time every metre or two we dig we slip a pair down and strut top and bottom. Not trying to tell you guys what to do but seen many a cave in over the years. Stay safe and keep up the great content.
Clay is such a bastard. Heavy thick sticky when wet. And rock hard and heavy when dry. Cant win! I just did 3 6 yard skips on my own. Pure clay. Killed me
In the vast majority of residential builds in the UK, there's no requirement for rebar reinforcement. If it was requested by our local building authority, we would most definitely include it 😊 Hope this helps. All the best, John 👷🏼♂️

Hi Paul, The job gets priced accordingly and away you go, Plant, Red diesel, Materials and Labour are all estimated as a normal so don’t quite know how you price your work but it’s normal standard practice all the best Tony 👍

Why no rebar inside the all of the concrete footings? Enjoying the videos.
