- How to improve your speed like the pros - speed tutorial at home. In today's video, we once again visit Carsten Effertz at the Tanner Speed Academy, who shows us how the pros train their speed at clubs like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Using the so-called Speed Court, the pros learn how to improve their speed by getting better at reactions, agility, foot positioning and decision making using the Speed Court - and there are learnings you can take with you as well if you want to improve your speed. Also, JayMike learns some similar drills you can do at home to improve your speed from professional player and coach Amna Lihovic, who also shows us some drills that you can use to improve your reaction time, decision making and speed.

I imagine you could do a version of the speed court using cones within the same shape, assign each cone a number. You would then have your teammate or coach call out that number for you to go to. Not perfect but still stimulates that thinking and body response.

Find a open space and dribble with the ball with max speed and intensity try to turn and all overtime you will improve your dribbling speed. For other areas like decision making and passing doing wall work helps to train instict and technique which leads to increased speedbut the best way is to play a lot more games .
