Shockingly quick! Took way longer to get used to blinking with the buttons than it did steer-by-wire. The steering wheel is the BEST part of the CT!

If you get a chance if you could take a tape measure to the width of the rear floor under the passenger seats from side to side (inside door to inside door) curious what can be stowed back there similar to the Rivian tunnel since the doors open up to 90degrees.
Looks like between 5-6' but would love to know the width.

I didn't reserve until about a month later. I'll probably talk about this in a video at some point, but I actually preordered all three original versions just to make sure I would be ready :D. I am an employee at Tesla though and live very close to the factory, so I think that is why I was able to take delivery so early.

MicroRV’ing would be awesome! We have a foundation RN but just saw where it said “cabin” climate control but didn’t confirm Vault.

When did you get your VIN/ delivery date?
I got my vin on Saturday and the delivery center reached out to me the following day. Took delivery on Tuesday!

Musk wanted to eliminate the side-view mirrors on the Model S for aerodynamic reasons back in 2013 but US Federal Vehicle Regulations specify that all cars in the US have to have physical side-view mirrors. That rule still applies in 2023.
@@jim9685769 It has to be sold with side-view mirrors. But there is no law that says that you have to have them while driving.

Plenty of room, didn't feel cramped at all! Honestly, I probably should have scooted the seat forward a little bit, and I'm 6'2"!

Did you receive the Home PowerShare hardware with the delivery? Any word on cost of install? Assuming no up-to-$4k install credit since you’re AWD, right?
I did not get the hardware during delivery, will be delivered to me at a later date. Not sure about the install credit, I'll have to get back to you on that one.

As for doing the job, my Sienna van easily does my electrical business, it's mini van not a truck .
But my 78 f250 4x4 300 6 is a truck. Throw chains on the tires to get through the muddy old service roads with a bunch of wood in the back

Your comment shows your lack of research and ignorance. There are tie downs everywhere in the back. It can do the truck pull like nothing out there. It doesn’t get dented like any truck you have and has 17” of ground clearance. Yes you can hose down the back and it even has a drain plug in the under storage. Greasy hands on the screen seriously? Like there aren’t mechanics already with Teslas and touching screens? Your truck doesn’t have outlets to work at a job site with 240V tools, 120v tools, or can power your house. Can your truck wade through water like this one without an aftermarket snorkel?
Seriously, do some research.

Who can use it as a truck/ Too expensive to repair when it gets scraped and dented on the job site, no stake holders to load thing high in the bed, Very expensive to repair if a chain breaks and hits the wheel well. Cant run a hose to wash out all the mud on the floor. dirty hands all over the screen , coffee spilled from those rough roads to get to site.
Yup far form triggered, but highly disappointed. It not a truck, at the most it's supervisors mobile office who has to get someone to come pick him up if he needs to get to the site
Too bad Musk didn't make an actual work truck instead of something for the urban cowboy who's boots only get dirty when he steps on something on the sidewalk
