I feel a bit relieved that Keith will be documenting 2020
6:21 - in that moment, Brady's mind was blown.
Like if you want Brady to make a podcast with Keith
@Sandcastle • I agree!
6:17 Brady's realization of one of his greatest achievements.
I just want to say that Brady is a damn fine journalist and interviewer.
This is objectively a great video
i dont get it
@@shivig6840 Subjective and Objective views are two different ways of looking at something. Objectively, means everyone can agree, because it isn't influenced on opinion, but facts. While Subjective is your opinion and through your existence. So subjectively people with eye issues that can only see a dim amount of colors will subjectively tell others the wrong colors, like a orange apple. While Objectively, the color is filtered through the persons eyes, to be orange, it's actually Red apple. My friend had issues with Red, seeing it as Orange. Made us and himself laugh when we couldn't agree on a color.
You're objectively a great video!
it was also a bit a of a pun on "objectivity", as both words have the same root :)
I always get light-hearted and have a smile on my face, when threre's a new video with Brady and The Keith. Instant like & comment, then watch
I'm more than a little envious of Keith's job. Finding the 'new' amongst the old must be exhilarating!
Brady, stop hiding your quarantine hair under a cap! Be more like wise surfer guru
Please do an Objectivity Soiree PRETTY PLEASE!
Glad to see that these videos are continuing to be filmed while maintaining at least the minimum of social distancing (can't tell if you're being extra cautious or not, but you seem to be doing enough IMO)
Keith was so excited! I know that joy finding that hidden treasure. This a memory that Keith will always cherish.
3:55 Wow! Of course Keith knows that his last name is Clerk Maxwell and not just Maxwell. No one gets that right
Excited Keith is best Keith
I was at last year's exhibition and I attended a really interesting talk on roadside atmospheric pollution testing. It would have been interesting to see what progress had been made in the intervening year.
An Objectivity Fair! Yes!
took my daughter (12 YO) to last years summer Exhibition not sure who enjoyed it more me or her!
they should look in to getting a VR tour available for the Summer Science Exhibition. (sort of like google street view) but "live". that way people can have a virtual walk through the exhibition. And this should not be just a this year thing, but a every year thing. its one thing to have a paper and photo series about the event, but having a VR tour would let everyone enjoy all that is happening.
Does the Royal Society still publish a nice printed catalogue of the exhibitions, or is it all digital only?
I loved seeing Keith talk about how excited he was in this one!
Oeh I didn't know about this event! Cool that you're doing a video about it! Also I want to know more about Lord Morley's Unsinkable Pleasure bat haha! (3.42)
*boat
@@RockClimberAlex No I mean the bat
love to Keith!
Hopefully from now on, they will supplement all the soirees with virtual tech using what they learned this year.
Beautiful. Thanks for this, and all the links! How amazing would it be to hold a modern soiree with some of those artifacts and current experts in their fields? Would be amazing to attend.
I see they were displaying Amsler's Planimeter at the soiree.
Maybe the Royal Society has a Planimeter somewhere in the archive.
It would be great to see Brady and Keith demonstrate it. Maybe bring in somebody from Numberphile to give it a go.
A proper introduction.
Can we have a video about Keith’s ring?
Hi yall!
Sadly Sir John Pringle is not the inventor of the snack.
I beg do a video on Maxwell xoxo
Didn't know Tom Hardy was a time traveling scientist

Objectivity is getting meta
7:18 An old-time photo showing one man WITHOUT impressive facial hair! What's wrong with him? Get him!
10:59 don't jinx it
Imagine a time when you could rub shoulders with... other humans! Those were the days.
Go watch the video. Then read the comments.
9 is too early in the moring!? For me it is already late. And I thinking I slept too much hahaha
I suspect you're also not up until 2 in the morning editing videos and podcasts
@@John_Ridley I am not shaming on him. I usually go to sleep at 2 in the morning. But I still think 9 is late. I wake up at 8 usually but I spent a few years waking up at 6.
I don't think that lord Lister had anything to do with Listerine...
It’s named after him... isn’t it?
I know this a year late, but while Lord Lister didn't directly have a hand in making it, his work prior was a huge influence in it's creation. Hence why it was named after him.
