What a champion. A complete badass that lived on and died a pround age of 69
funny number 😝💕
Funny knowing he used to pull
Thanks to him I wrecked my Schwinn AppleCrate numerous times launching myself off a 4x8 sheet of plywood and a stack of cinder blocks. He was my hero as a kid and I am still fond of him and his fearless spirit.
JP Hickory
Amen bro!
Did the same on my Schwinn Stingray.
I was a fan when i was a child even put plywood up on cender blocks i remember jumping 7 people laying beside each other clear every one of them lol theme were the days not a care in the world
Lol - your 7 friends trusted your abilities. We set metal trash cans on their side and jumped them. I also remember landing on my front tire once and doing a face plant into the ground and knocking the wind out of me. My best friend Brian kept asking me if I was ok while I was trying to get my wind back. You’re right.... not a care in the world other then a set of bent handlebars.
I bent my Huffy in half doing a Evel jump as a kid.......
Yep been there lol
When I was a kid, I was lucky enough to see him jump in the kingdom in Seattle, one of the highlights of my life.
Nice!
Lucky
Evel was the best Daredevil ever.
The goat. Period. None better.
He just needed better equipment
Evel lived a life Definately on the edge. We idolized him as a child growing up.
Rarest of the Rare: A True American Legend.
Evel, you will never die. You had your shot at it- Don Rickels
This man was a legend. He inspired my generation to overcome whatever lay in the way! My brother and I were huge fans and watched every jump we could. Thank you kind sir for being such a strong spirit and kind man.
All time favorite growing up as a kid!!! Had all the toys to!
Sadly missed by all fans and family and friends, Evel Knievel was my idol, and I wanted to be like Mr Evel Knievel and be a daredevil, he was the Greatest daredevil ever
Back when Sportscenter was still good.
Prod. by MiB Pure shit now. Soy Boys afraid of their own shadows.
Ein wahrer Helld !!! Du bist mein ldol , Dank Dir für deinen Mut !!!!
UTTER LEGEND much love and respect mr , love to have had a beer and whiskey chaser with you , thankyou
Long live the 👑
Thanks to this man i had a bright idea at 13 yrs old to take my cr125 Honda dirt bike and set up a ply board ramp and jump my dads project 67 galaxy well i cleard that one somehow unscaved and decided to also clear my trampoline along with the car. I now have pins in my left leg and pain for 30 yrs but so much fun till i tried to get up . rip mr knievel
Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you STRONGER!
I grew up watching Evel Knievel in the 1970's. He was our hero and inspired many of us to jump homemade ramps and dirt outcroppings. I even had the Evel Knievel wind up motorcycle and action figure. Those were the daze!
The man had Red, White, and Blue BALLS OF STEEL!!🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸
Mostly Red and White! I don't think the man ever had "Blue Balls"!!🇺🇸🏍🇺🇸
Witnessed Evel perform at the Shriners/ statefair collisium in Detroit. Leaped over a combination of 13 cars and vans in a space that barely cleared his pearl painted Bell star helmeted head. When he returned and rode his. Harley ironhead up the landing ramp, he took the announcers microphone and said " to my good friends here in Detroit I want to apologize. My jump was short tonight and Im Going to jump once more" The place went ballistic. his mechanic. Met him on the top row of the collisums roof and you could hear the bikes engine now growl like a pisstoff mountianlion. He hit the takeoff ramp again and landed the bike totally out of the floor this time.
It was freeking incredible. And absolutely unforgetable for as long as I live....
M
He went through brutality ! Much respect and honor for defeating death and being able to walk again after being injured.
R.I.P. Sir
Heck of a guy. He gave us so much!
THE GREATEST DAREDEVIL OF ALL TIME LOVE YOU AND MISS GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!!!
Sure do miss ya Evel.
Me too! He was from my mom and dad’s generation and lived only one year longer than my mother.😇
He was every kids who ever jumped a curb or ramp hero! He was mine. I watched that Snake a river jump live on ABC’s wide world of sports. It was a Saturday afternoon and I was in Concord California and it was a beautiful sunny day. Yeah he was more than a daredevil he was the American Stunt master and I had all his toys and I simply loved him! P
When I was 12 years old Evil was my hero. He jumped in Toronto and I begged my Dad for a ticket that I didn't get but I did get the stunt cycle.
In 1974 , my cousin and I watched him jump at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto , Canada .
I must be old. I remember he seemed to crash more often than not.
If he never did stunt work he would've been the best in the business
He was Amazing .American idle.Me and my brother would build jumps and jump with our bicycles acting like Evil knievel.I had a Evil watch .I loved that watch.Had alot of his toys.He will be truly missed .R.I.P. Evil .
What an incredible hero.
Used to love this guy
My Hero! RIP.
Just one of his wipeouts would easily end anyone's career but to endure so many of those brutal crashes is incredible. True Legend
I watched a show about him 1 time. The Guy said Evel would get there look things over and say I can't make that. The Guy also said Evel still went even after saying he knew he couldn't make it.He Crashed and when he was being loaded into an ambulance he asked Evel Why did you go through with it even knowing you couldn't make it? Evel Stopped and looked at the Guy and in true Evel Knievel fashion asked. What did you want me to give their money back? That was the Icon named Evel Knievel
American icon for sure....they need another mtn with Elvis , Evil , MLK,....and Jordan lol
Music at 2:18 is from the movie _Unbreakable_
He was impressive even at his death he died at 69
All his accomplishments great as they are nothing compared to giving his life to Jesus before he passed away!
I saw him do the Kings Island jump
His own son Robbie died today at 60. Sad.
He was awesome.
God blessing
See you, buddy. You had a good ride.
RIP Evil...Love ya!
3:22 "Help me out, Frank." Frank Gifford.
he is a real tuff bad ass guy!!
The inspiration for Super Dave Osborne.
He had more than 9 lives!
His body endured so much broken bones.
Evel Knievel= If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again. Houdini and Knievel both shared the gift of self promoters.
Interesting part is that I used to hear people use that name whenever they wanted to do something daring, never knew it was someone's name.
Did anyone have the evil toy bike that u wound up to release it, think it was red I remember getting it for Xmas round about 82, the best toy I ever had spent hours winding it up watching evil go lol
The suspension sure didn't do him any justice. As soon as the back tire hit, the bike was ripped from his hands, then the suspension popped him up into the air. As for how he approached the fall I give him a perfect 10!
THE WOLD GREATST MAN! TO GO!
He jumped on a goddamn street bike.
He sure knew how to make those crashes spectacular.
Not sure he was trying. Not sure anyone would want to risk their life, and crash, to make it look good.
So many guys in their 40s and 50s tried to mimic Evel on their Schwinn's. Were lucky we weren't maimed.
Incredible to think that there has NEVER been a Movie
BUT WHO WOULD BE CRAZY ENOUGH TO PLAY HIM???
There have been at least two. He starred as himself in one of them.
something interesting Evel was second generation. RIP Evel
Yep, thanks to him I talked my little brother into jumping over a garbage can laying on its side.He did not make it.
For My family .
Elvis broke every bone in Evel Knievel’s body
all the kids in our neighborhood got hurt on wipe outs on or bikes jumping with homemade plywood ramps,my next door neighbor karl broke his collarbone jumping on his schwinn 5 speed
Jim Thorpe number one
Greatest Daredevil of all time.
Nice
Now that's one bad hombre!!!
You will NEVER be forgotten Mr , EVER xx
we saw him crash in Chicago when i was a kid.
Today you probably couldn't even make enough money to pay the hospital bills.
Evil Knievel 👍
I think he pulled the cord for the emergency paritute in idaho because he was scared my family watched it and said that they think that to lol
2:24 Clearly no5 double deckers
Glad to have been an adolescent at this time. Wrecked on my Schwinn Stingray countless times building homemade "ramps" .
A simpler time
evil you were one narly dude and a brave brave daredevil
why didn't anyone think of a kill button???
Passed away at 69
Nice
Doug danger in my uncle
Enter Super Dave Osborne.
"the lunch baaaaaaarkses proved it".
What was this guy on about?
Evel Knievel died 15 years ago today.
May he Rest In Peace.
20x the man as me
2:23 "Double decker buses"??? They look awfully like single dockers to me... Double decker means 2 floors, not a single floor like these.
Evil lived to crash.. thatsfor sure
I had the wind up toy motorcycle we would jump ramps and race 4 at the time evil said he made more money from his toy motorcycle than he did jumping. Millions were sold.
The MOST important thing Evel did was put his faith in Jesus Christ.
The Grandaddy of the X Games
Those wasn’t double decker busses they were normal they lied in video
Thanks alot 69 you had to ruin it
I wound up my Evel stunt cycle...released the bike and zoooommm!..hit the wood ramp and bang!....right into the side of a car coming down our street....unlike Evel...i ran and hid so the driver wouldnt see who i was ....
2:54 The bike, ! The bike! someone check the bike
gigachad dies at 69 years old
A real life super hero.
Reminds me of ghost rider
Didn’t he die jumping the Grand Canyon
His son Robbie did: czcams.com/video/TILBb8-bL1g/video.html
Robbie also did the "Building-To-Building Death Jump" in Las Vegas: czcams.com/video/QbYfhaD88u8/video.html
For all his fame and accomplishments, the greatest thing he Ever done was accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior 🙏🙏🙏
I never got the point of flying a rocket across a canyon. Why not just use an airplane?
Looks like stupidity to me rest easy though
Nitro circus makes these jumps look like child splay
shawoo they don’t jump with a regular heavy duty Harley Davidson like Evel
