OH MY GOSH!!!!! I'm a subscriber but didn't know about this one. I have been stressing over a star pointed Christmas Tree skirt I've been making for my daughter and pretty much ruined the binding. I so wish I had googled sooner. Your instructions are spot on and absolutely perfect for the horribly pointy ends and edges both inside and outside. Now I can stop stressing and actually finish this tree skirt for her even though Christmas just past. It can be a birthday present. I can't even begin to say how perfect your instructions are. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
This is exACTly what I've been searching for about sewing binding on an inside corner. I have a tote bag I'm working on and, messed up on an exterior pocket. Well, because I lost my seam ripper, (🤪) I couldn't RIP out the thread to start over. So, I had an idea to just cut out the pocket and sew some fabric into the hole I created. Was just gonna put zig zag stitching on the edges, but, I then had an idea to place a sort of patchwork panel in that area. So, I felt I needed to bind off the interior edges of the hole, instead. And, I was unsure how to sew into the interior corner until I found your video here. TYSM for helping me to save the tote bag I am working on. I was about ready to start completely over with brand new fabric - you saved the day for me, ma'am ! 👍😉😻
Great tutorial, thank you! I needed help figuring out how to bind those inside points on a scalloped border. This was just what I needed. Your instructions are so clear. I love how you explain every. tiny. single. step and show such get close-ups on the camera. Well done!
This just came on autoplay after I looked for a binding tutorial, and I just had it running in the background as I was sewing. This is so comfortable to listen to, I don't even quilt! :D
This is fantastic Laura. I like table runners with the pointed ends but hesitate making them as the binding at those ends always takes me forever to figure out. You have now make it easy. Thank you so much for all your tutorials. I look forward to them and watch as soon as I receive the notification.
I watched this video a bit ago and now I am reviewing it as the binding and quilt are sitting ready at the machine. I am so glad I saw this video. How helpful. I am excited to sew the binding.
Laura, Thank you very much for this post which came at just the right time for me. I needed to make some table runners and your template method made it 'sewveryeasy' to attach the binding around those non-ninety degree corners. I created a three corner template with shorter straight runs between them than the actual size, added some notes to it, punched some binder holes in it and put it in my notes binder so I can use it again next time.
Wow, Thank you Laura. That may be above my skill and patience level. But I will log this for the future. I may find I can do it easier than I thought. You always make your projects look easy. Perhaps, that is why you are called, "SewVeryEasy".
Thank you Laura, I avoided patterns like that but now with your clear and precise tuition I think I will try it out on something small first like a table runner.
