SHOULDER SURFING: When somebody peeps over your shoulder to see what you are doing on your mobile.
Shoulder Surfing is potentially dangerous for the person who falls prey to it. A lot of people nowadays are relying on their phones for many things. From social media to online banking, from shopping to seeing personal pictures and videos, the kind of things people are dependent on their phones can safely be termed as private. Extremely personal. So what happens when you need to urgently log on to your internet banking in a public place? Your passwords and other details can be easily accessed by anyone. Even logging in to an innocent online shopping portal or a social networking website can openly display your password. Yet so many times such things are unavoidable.
What then can you do to safeguard yourself from these kind of malicious practices?
Always make sure that nobody is behind you when you use your phone. Do not share your personal details with strangers, because who knows how deft somebody is in guessing your password by using permutations and combinations smartly. Never leave your phone to charge at a public place without at least ensuring a screen lock.

I remember when I was in college, I was travelling by bus and I was messaging my friend, we had keypad phones at that time, her contact and name both were visible on my screen , there was a guy standing behind my back , which I didn't even know was standing there noted down my friend's no. And texted her and said that I provided him my friend's contact details.
When my friend asked him that why I have given her no. To a stranger, I was shocked to hear that and I told my friend that I haven't shared her contact details with anyone. When my friend confronted that guy , thankfully he then told the truth.
