- A lot of balloon artists are raving about Kalisan Balon, saying they’re the new best balloon company on the market.
Well, I bought a few bags to try them out for you, let’s find out how good they are!
In this video I’ll give you a review of Kalisan balloons, including a thorough analysis of their packaging, the colors, sizes & finishes available, plus the thickness, quality, transparency, and we’ll even have the “nipple” talk. I’ll blow some up for you, tell you all the good, the bad, the in between that I’m seeing, and then use them in a garland and give you some feedback on how they performed and how they aged over the days and weeks following the creations.
As always, this video is full of tips & tricks on making balloon garlands that pop into my head while reviewing these balloons.
I know it’s been really hard to get balloon stock lately (for all of us) and we are hoping to have another new premium balloon brand on the market (that can stay in stock), so let’s see if Kalisan balloons are it!

This brand (Kalisan) is amazing! Put up a beautiful garland today using Kalisan & Qualatex balloons and the quality was the same with both! Beautiful colors not available from Qualatex too. Thank you for making us aware of this great new brand!

I noticed the color difference of the brown as soon as you showed it. In 26 years of doing balloons, I have NEVER experienced that!
I just received some 5 inch balloons in that brand from Amazon!!!!! They are great quality!!! First time using them.

Thanks Ellie! I haven't tested them outdoors yet, though I will before long. With the weather being cooler now, I feel like it won't be a fair test until the summer months, but I will be doing a video testing that (and other things) before long!

They looked amazing on my garlands only had like 4 pop from red mirror in 12 in and then 3 5 in on their red and that’s just cause I over filled

Just some information, You can actually ordered from the website directly and it is cheaper. the website you use offers a cheaper price but they only have 50 in a bag and the website sells 100 to a bag.
I also noticed that with Kalisan the color trend to vary with sizes. It happened to me with the color mustard. The 12 inch was a lot darker than the 18 and 24 inch. But I feel like it must only be with some colors because the Rust orange was exactly the same in all sizes. Another thing is that I found that 260s are not as good as 12 inch ones. They tend to pop very easily and from a package of 50 in gold (not used entirely) I have already found around 9 balloons to be defective. Other than that, they have beautiful colors and balloons look beautiful in garlands and bouquets
Oh this is super good to know Cristina, thanks for sharing! I really hate when there isn't color consistency throughout the sizes : ( I love Tuftex's Mustard so much that I didn't order it from Kalisan to compare, IMO I already found the perfect one 💛 But now I can't wait to try all the other colors I did get from Kalisan to see how consistent they are.
And the 260s from Kalisan are popping easily? But the 12" aren't?
In my experience, most brands have a small % of defective balloons but I hope it's not 20% that doesn't sound great : /
I personally don't inflate my 260s almost ever so I've never had a problem with any brand of 'em before, so this is all really good info, thanks for sharing!

I had this happen with the macaroon colors. The 5inch baby blue was darker than the 11inch baby blue.
Oh, and yeah. I twist too. The 260s (at least from the macaroon color scheme) popped waaaaay easy.

What colors/brands for the other balloons in the garland? My biggest gripe is the nipple…and your garland didn’t have any noticable nipples. Thank you! Love you your vids.

How long can you keep the balloons in inventory?
Hi Regina, good question! Most manufacturers say if you keep them cool and out of heat & sunlight they'll last up to a year. Some have lasted longer for me, and some haven't made it that long...

Do you notice a lot more talc on the Kalisan balloons? I feel like they are all frosted on the inside compared to Qualatex I don't notice this...

How are the 260 balloons
These seem to oxidize faster, they turned before I got them to the party.

I bought the Assorted colors of the Kalisan and meant to say onyx black oxidizes too fast.

I like the new brand as well but you mentioned Qualatex only black and it is actually one of my least favorites of all their colors. It seems to oxidize too quickly.Thanks for the info but please speak a little slower.
Did you use Qualatex Onyx Black indoors or outdoors? On my indoor installs, it has lasted MONTHS without oxidizing. I am amazed at it! If you have a different experience I want to know!
