It’s a (abusable) visual bug. When you melee, the animation gets looped by bhopping. You only need to melee once. Only other players can actually see it looping, it looks normal for yourself even if you go in third person firing range.
You can technically shoot and stuff while doing it, but I highly advise against that personally. I just recommend having fun with the goofiness rather than getting kills with it.
