I had one Allen bolt stripped out. I took a bit wider than the the bolt shaft and drilled the head off..
When the intake comes off just put vice grip around the bolt to remove it.
...on the EGR bolt I decided to take off the throttle body. Of course you might end up replacing the throttle body gasket if your like me and end up breaking the gasket while cleaning the throttle mouth and butterfly.
Also probably go the 10mm route on the intake bolts.

Was the metal washer up or facing down the valve cover

Apparently, i did not do it right myself. I guess the washer is a two-piece design. The rubber seal goes in between them. I thought the lower washer was molded into the rubber on the old seals, and the new seals were just different. That being said, i dont have any leaks, and it's been months. I put the metal washer facing down so it would cup the rubber seal against the valve cover.
