Do you need tiles to extend the roof later
When it is finished and dried how easily does it mark if you put a ladder against it to clean windows, gutters etc?
Is this silicone render put on top of the insulation or monocouche?
Looks good! How easy is it to make alterations once installed, e.g. Mounting a security light or drilling a fibre Internet cable through?
In my extended video ( not completed) you see we installed timer fixing points for known items, but also we have special fixings for lightweight items

We have been installing ewi for 20 years and the uk has been installing external wall insulation systems for many many years before i started.
For people who have older properties with cavity, how will EWI help ? Surely you will have air passing around the cavity and flooring still. I don't recommend people having cavity wall insulation either, too many problems with it be it damp and mould forming because the property can't breath. People who have had polystyrene beads pumped into their wall cavity will eventually have problems with electrical cables if there services pass through the wall since they react with one another.
Hi thanks for your question, ill do my best to answer , firstly the eps is calculated to allow for a cavity in the u value measurement, and the system is fully permeable. Also air typically does not move in a cavity it is static , the reason for a cavity originally was not for insulation purposes but to alow the building to breath along with it being cheaper than solid wall building (labour and skill wise) thats going way back 1920! From
Personally installing this system for over 15 years including my own home that is part soildwall and cavity we see amazing if not instant results . Please look on my video list for client testimonial video’s on EWI

The cavity needs to be insulated too - Also External Insulation should go below ground level/footpath (600mm below internal finished floor level) and all the way up through the soffit to the wall plate where it should meet with the attic insulation, Otherwise it's like going out with a long winter jacket on with no hat or shoes!
