I love your idea! I purchased the pens at Dollar Tree and personalized them with my coworkers names to give as Christmas gifts. I used the decorative shiny solid colored duct tapes and my label maker and they turned out fantastic!

I did these forever ago. used dollar tree Paris washi and some scrapbooking paper. I love them. haven't seen them sense. I hope to find them again.

Good idea 💡 try the 1's that go to the cricket machine that come in a long box ,fabric & or the flat rhinestones may also work that way I use on outside of pens ❤❤❤❤😊

I use to do this with my Bic pens in high school.....many eons ago....put my name inside and I never "lost" a pen again....great idea....and you are looking more gorgeous every day.....I have been using coconut oil on my skin for a couple of years due to eczema......it is amazing how well it works....love your video's and you always make me laugh...a lot...so big thanks to you..... :)
Went to my DT ...which is only a block away ( gives me so much grief,having one so close) no pens as of yet but you can bet I will be checking daily although I do know what days certain things get delivered and opened to the public....I have made friends.....can't wait to play with them.....:)

This is a good idea. A hand-customized manual pen is finished.
I use a program called Photofiltre (it's free!) that allows you to create new images by their measurements in inches. It's what I use to make CD covers for my mix CDs that fit perfectly :) (you just have to make sure you print the image at 100% size) If you measure out the dimensions for the blue paper you cut out, you can do the same thing. Thank you for the DIY! I will definitely be doing this soon :)

Great idea. I've seen people do that with some of the water/coffee travel mugs - although not as cost effective as the pens if doing for a business. PS - I just wanted to add that you are looking great! You can really notice a difference! 👍

I don’t know I did this video years ago. You can just get the pen… cut a rectangle and measure it around the barrel…
OMG this is awesome.. you are very creative... I got to your channel through the collab with gift basket appeal on 5 things you love from dollar tree and your part was the stationery. I am a teacher and would love to make these for this coming year for my co-workers at school. I don't seem to see these pens on the DT website, I know this is an old video but it would really help if I had (ideally the SKU#) at least the names of the pens... :( sorry I know this is a difficult task but ... yes, follow-up on how you got the template
I used google docs and made a rectangle… and printed it out to see how big it was and if it fit… I kept adjusting until it wrapped around. Then I just found images and added them over the rectangle and then printed out.

@@JoannePlans when you say rectangle . Did you insert a text box?
I think I just added a text box and then adjusted the border... or you could insert a shap.e... another option you really just need to start a size print and play around to get it the right size for the pen. it took me like 4 tries to get it right.

I believe promo places sell custom logo pens for about .05 - .15 per pen but I can see how this is cost effective on a smaller scale
U could get a cheap bic pen with one Color possibly but for not having to meet min purchase quantities and getting a nice pen thick barrel and you are limitless to what u can add. Full color etc.

I dont have it anymore, you just have to do trial and error make a box, print it out and see if it will fit, and adjust as needed. It took me like 4 times to get the right size.

My only question is how long do those pens last? I don’t want ones with bad quality to sell to customers but I know with the dollar store it’s a hit or miss
I think for a dollar tree pen they are better quality than most. I like the way they write. Which to me is more important. I would recommend buying a package and test them out before customizing them.

Sorry no idea. I just printed something out and adjusted it each time until it fit
You can go to Photoshop put your name in a couple different unique ways, print it out and this will let family members know who’s pen it is.
