- Here is a video on how I created these custom epoxy free school themed pens. These were so fun to make and serve as a great gift for a teacher. In this video I created composition notebook pens & crayon pens. I have a video that I made previously where I created the pencil pen... I will link it down below if anyone wants to check it out. To create these pens I used brite tone from the crystal company. Brite tone is an epoxy free alternative. Its a non toxic water based top coat. Its completely safe to use, even indoors. I'll link brite tone down below.. along with everything I used in this video to create this pens. Thank you so much for watching!

This video is awesome! Alot of videos I watch people skip some of the process like slicing and sizes, you covered all of that. Trust me for a newbie that makes all the difference. it does. I use an epoxy that takes 15 mins to harden. Its incredible!
Did you use waterslide paper on the blue and yellow pens? I didn't see you wet it to put it on the pen
These looked great. I love the idea of non toxic but lord..seems like it could take up to a week to complete a pen. 😳
So I see it’s a lot of times drying a lot of hours drying. What is your usual turn around time of completion?

Question. Sorry for my ignorance I just stared working wt epoxy. The only thing I don't like is that it takes a hole day to dry or even more time. So for what I'm seeing the product u are using to replace the epoxy , as well takes almost a day. Bc u have yo let each coat to dry. (Correct me if I'm wrong). So what would b the diffrence from epoxy n the product u r using aside from the chemical side effects.?

It was shelf liner that I used as transfer tape .
What spray paint can I use to prep the pens? Is it just a thin layer
I showed the ones I used in the video. I like to use either rust oleum or krylon. I also linked them in the video description. I add 1 or 2 coats oof spray paint.. depending on the color.
The only thing I was confused was why did you have to use transfer tape doesn’t the htv come with it or are you using something different?
It’s not htv . Htv is Heat transfer vinyl. Used to make T-shirts. I used permanent vinyl. It doesn’t come with transfer tape on it

What else can you use if you don’t have a spinner?
Add thin coats and hang dry. You can put them in the wooden dowels and put them in a styrofoam to hold and dry.

Did you use clear vinyl ? When I’m printing my image it’s not showing the name just the black circle

Have you tried using UV resin when you are trying to make a pen and need it ASAP ?
Can you do a video on doing the name decals?
I haven’t tried uv resin. Is that the one that comes in a squeeze bottle?

@@MelissaCrafter yes it uv resin and u use the uv light … put your time in half if you’re working on a project that needs to be done right away I’m just still trying to master that one a little thought I would ask if you have tried it.
Just got my cricket joy and I seem to have trouble with the font when I’m trying to put the decal on a pen sometimes my name is come out too big
