      Spencer has a point. A Macerator [the machine in the first film] are used to dispose of unwanted male chick's & unfit for consumption females; they aren't used re' chicken for consumption 😂 .
      (though the company that sold the Tweedy's the machine are also liable for fraud, as the company clearly altered & marketed Macerators for a purpose likely to endanger Public Health.

      The nuggets, especially. Not only is it false advertising (being made from battery hens that are brainwashed, & being the whole chicken blended, containing feathers, eyeballs, brain, blood, etc.), those nuggets would contain fragments of glass, wires & plastic from those collars, which is a serious health violation.
      Food containing bits of inedible content will immediately get recalled, & if they find it in every single product, investigations & a potential company shutdown could happen.
      The factory is also an OSHA violation, as someone could easily fall off into the meat grinder, as seen with Melissa Tweedy. That is a guaranteed factory shutdown.

      @silentecho92able Před 2 měsíci +20

      i would agree with you but a lot of factory made pies, tend to follow a set recipe passed down that was originally homemade, like say KFC chicken was at one point homemade but got commercialized and mass-production. Plus in a technical sense this was in her home i.e in the barn and not a factory complex. So in a way it still counts as homemade.

    Minor thing: Victor's charges would need to be altered, as locking up Grommit without the permission of Wallace, his legal owner, that's petnapping and animal cruelty. Unless that is the case, then any actions taken by *his* dog can't be attributed to him.
    Either the dog is it's own person, letting him get in trouble for False Imprisonment, but removing the charges based on the dog's actions, or it's not, removing the false imprisonment, but letting him be charged for different crimes and for the actions of his own dog.

    Perhaps base it on UK law, not US law. Aardman is a British company, after all, and most of the movies are based in the UK for a large part of it. The reason I say this is because you included the death sentence in one, but there is no death penalty in the UK. It was abolished decades ago.

  • @FilmNerdy

    EDIT: I think you did say in which countries these sentences are applied later in the video but the sentencing is all over the place as we don't have 2nd degree in the UK, its called Manslaughter. Just want a bit of clarity :)

    Mrs. Tweedy is aware that chickens are sentient near the end of the first movie, so any crime committed against them in the second film would have to be counted as a similar crime against humanity. Attempted murder, kidnapping, false imprisonment, etc.

    The mustached frog: second sexual assault is actually assault and battery, since he was fighting Rita, not sexually forcing himself on her.
    The Toad: how's that sexual assault? He grabbed Rita, but not with sexual intent.
    Victor: assault and battery; animal abuse for caging Grommit; deliberately causing mass hysteria might be counted as hooliganism, or intimidation\ terrorism or something; assault (both verbal and physical in the scene where he insults the giant rabbit and uses a rake on the woman); attempted marriage fraud with future embezzlement (he was going to marry a woman for her money); since Victor's dog and Grommit are both dogs, does it count as animal cruelty? We can argue that it is, given that Victor ordered his dog to attack Grommit, but we can argue that it's not, since the dog is shown to be sentient, and thus made its own decisions.
    Mrs. Tweedy: animal cruelty only works with the last couple of scenes and maybe the brainwashing. Otherwise, she's running an meat factory, so it's to be expected that she'd be butchering the chickens, which aren't regarded as sentient beings (until the very end).

    Case 3: Doug (Open Season 3)

      @lightsidesoul Před 3 měsíci +2

      A big problem is that Shaw did most of his things legally. The only thing I can think of that was suspect was Elliot, but the claim that Elliot, who couldn't tell anyone who could charge Shaw the truth thanks to them not understanding him, ran in front of his truck would give him a bit of leeway. Every other action was either in his own home (when he stalked Boog in his house), or during the titular Open Season, where he was perfectly allowed to hunt in the area he was hunting in. It's not illegal to believe crazy theories, after all.
      Edit: Did a bit of reading on TV Tropes, he performed several counts of reckless driving when he tried to run down Elliot in town, including almost hitting a small child and hopping the curb onto the sidewalk.
      With Fifi, well... Fifi was a dog. A domestic dog. While he *did* try to kill wild animals, dogs aren't usually charged for things like that.
      And Doug is a bear, even a trained circus bear, who was a bit of a dick to other animals.
      The problem is that Humans are the deciding factor in these things, but humans wouldn't charge animals for fighting animals. Most that would happen is that the forest would be locked down because of the odd behavior of the fauna, but even the one human villain was still in the clear because the animals can't communicate that they are as smart as they are.

      1) Being married doesn't overrule assault laws (in fact, it rather adds to the perceived severity, at least from the POV of the justice system, as your closeness to the victim is being negated in favour of the act)
      2) He clearly cares, he just doesn't feel able do anything about it. He's scared of his wife, and just does as she says. That's, like, one of the main gimmicks of his character

    I think you're missing one of Wallace and Grommit's villains, I can't remember her name, but her whole gimmick was of a "black widow" she would charm men and make them fall in love of them, then she would get them to put her on their will and finally she would murder them, she tired that with Wallace which is 1st degree attempted murder and it's implied she did the same with several others, which essentially turns her into a serial killer, if you already covered her, please tell me, I would be interested on seeing the video, if you haven't done so yet, I hope you do in the future

      Not exactly sure how killing the chicken that didn't lay eggs is "perfectly fine", other than "one mouth less to feed" kind of thing.
      Surely that, in the chicken's POV, it might be considered 1st(?) degree murder, right?

      @@theowilds3778 maybe but my brother worked in egg farm before for 2 years. An this is kinda common a chicken that does not produce eggs anymore or produces less eggs.
