Years ago, my Basset Hound boy saw a group of horses for the first time and he froze in place. I'm not sure what he was thinking but It seemed to be total shock and awe.

That hound is a classic basset character! Love his coloring too. When they were making his coat they ran out of paint so that's why he's got some much white with specks of color. 🤓

I love Basset Hounds!!! Love to hear them howl. I had one about 40 years ago. After we lost "Kansas Duke of Yumm yums" Then kids talked daddy into a Rottweiler. And we turned into a Rottie family. But now that I am my myself...I would to have another Basset but. . .
Rottweilers are great dogs, too. I’ve never owned one but good friends of ours had one and she was such a sweetheart and great with young kids. For as long as I’m able and the wife agrees, I don’t think I could ever live without a Basset Hound.
