I recommend using a spray, waterless shampoo or dog perfume while brushing them too. It’ll make them smell good!
Yes it makes them smell good, but with their phenomenal sense of smell, does anyone think that fragrance smells good to them?
I have 2 bassets and they shed A LOT. however, sweeping every few days and a good deshedding tool will go a very long way.

Oh yeah, Bassets shed. We often had a pair, so twice the fur on things. They are worth it, a small price to pay for such a great dog.

Love my 16 year old Stella hound. She sheds!! I vaccum a lot and brush w same Kong brush.! Your a good master!
