My husband dedicated this song to me when I was 16, and now he has passed. I will remember him forever. Married 48 years and he was my first love and will love him forever

What a "Distintive Sound" - heard this song on the radio the other day - 2023 - I'm now 70 - how did I miss this song - I didn't realize the Marvelettes sang it - It's a marvelous song. They were a wonderful group. A moving song.
This was and always will be my group. In the Navy, we awoke to the Marvelettes every morning in the female barracks. This one girl had their album, she would turn it on and we all would come alive for another work day.
It is very very sad. Now we have to listen to ignorant filthy mouth rappers and bubble gum girl singers. I oh one, Whitney Houston, was worth our time.
I had a 68 2 door Chrysler with skirts on wires lifted in the front with twin pipes n I would play this song n deliberately drive slow, the older folks loved it
I really love this song. After 51 years of marriage and a lot of bumps, and stupidity on my part I now know what forever means. Now my loving sweet wife is my Queen and Jesus is my king and that will be forever&forever.

I lost my virginity, while this song was playing--LOL, it didn't have to play twice. . .I'm sure you know what I mean. Round 2 was a different story, but young love doesn't last, and we didn't.
