The Galeón Andalucía is a replica of a 16th-17th century galleon, the only one in the world that sails in present days. These ships were the type of vessel used by the Spanish Crown for maritime expeditions during the 16th through the 18th centuries.
It's an amazing ship! I'd love to sail in it, would be incredible!

These types of galleons were the first ships specifically designed for transoceanic navigation. What existed previously were basically medieval ships to navigate the seas near Europe and the Mediterranean. Although this ship is based on a slightly later model, it is basically the same model of transport geleon from the 16th century.
Wouldn't want to be a pirate back then especially with this ship on my tail as it was also used for taking on pirates and other ships from different country's.
@@robertjward1265 I have some rare old newspapers dating back to the 1700s when all this stuff was going on.......reading the reports from back then is fascinating to say the least

Amazing although it looks like a replica, it looks like it was made in 2024 by a laser printer
It was a very nice new looks ship, pretty sure it launched in 2009 after years of research and trying to replicate it as much as possible.
There are original tall ships still around, I know of two of them, the USS Constitution and the HMS Victory. They are over 200 years old. Still very beautiful.
