My grandpa had an Ariel photo of their farm. I always thought that was p sweet. I’d absolutely wanna make sure my home had all the projects I wanna do done before take it tho.
Your grandfather probably got the image taken from an airplane pilot. A farm is a large chunk of land. And in order to get the entire property in frame for a photo, you would have to fly way above 400 feet AGL, and this would be illegal to do with a drone. However, it is still possible to create an image of the farm by using mapping software. The drone only has to fly about 200 feet AGL, but it will be shooting a couple hundred photos that is later stitched together within the mapping software, and then later generated into a 3D model, which actually looks like one big photograph. But most drone pilots will charge way more for this since it takes way more time and expense to develop.
Wrong. You need a commercial license to fly drones for this. Secondly is highly illegal to fly over roads and bridges and above people in general. Lastly you can’t fly over other private properties as well. There’s a ton of drone laws that you broke doing this and you can land in hot hot water. Please don’t advise people to break the law
You can fly pretty much anywhere other than around airports. Nobody owns the airspace above their property. It's all regulated by the FAA. The other guy is wrong too you can fly over highways. As for people/vehicles the law says no sustained flight over people. If you're flying in a straight line and you happen to pass over someone that is completely legal as long as you don't stop and hover over them. And if your drone is under 250 grams and you have prop guards that law doesn't apply. Maybe learn the laws before you start telling people what their doing is illegal. If you want to see where you can't fly look up the app aloft. Yellow usually means fly with caution/research legality and red means don't fly there.
@@redeye118 Part 107(commercial) is the same rules as recreational. At least regarding where you can fly. He's wrong about the highways too. You can fly over them just fine. Only rules you really have to listen to are flying near airports and taking off in most state parks/national parks. It's a common misconception you can't fly over national/state parks but the real rule is you can't take off from their property. Due to the misconception you might have some trouble too with park rangers but what your doing is perfectly legal. Just try not to annoy people with it, because if too many people act like idiots the FAA will make it illegal.
I'm pretty sure it's legal. You'd file under your social instead of having an LLC or anything. I don't think you can fake a business name though. But, this may be illegal due to the drone flying, I think you have to have some sort of license or something but Im not sure on that part
Can confirm. My grandfather on my dad's side paid around $300 to have photos of his farmhouse taken by a local pilot in Kansas. My grandfather on my mother's side paid a little less for the same in Minnesota. Since both men have passed away I now have those pictures hanging in my home in the middle of a giant paved city... ew
Exactly and here on the coast, people pay professional photographers to use drones to picture their sailboats too, i’m talking thousands, and it’s always kind of been a prestigious thing because people used to get aerial photos of their homes and display them
Add the fact that in the US you need a license to use a drone over 250 grams and to use it for none recreational purposes. You also can't fly it over 400 feet without a license
You can accept donations to put towards your part 107, as long as you make if clear to the customer where the money is going. That would be perfectly legal, just save up the money until you can pay for the part 107.
I used to use this as my main drone- Hubsan Zino (i use a DJI Mini 4 pro now) and for it's price I don't think there's much to complain about really but only problem is it's not as reliable as high end drones as well as weighing 720 grams (over 249g) which means you MUST license the drone as well as get an operators ID and flyer ID to fly it
Best Christmas present idea thanks bro, making one for my parents old farm house tomorrow, ehh might have to wait till next year until the trees are full again, still an awesome idea tho thanks mang.
The hard part is to actually find someone interested. In REALLY nice areas like that the home owners might call the cops if they see strangers hanging around or flying drones about. He also left out the commercial drone license that may be required to do this legally..
You do need to register your drone get remote id and also get a Trust certificate but if you are flying for commercial purposes and not recreational then under Part 107 you need a proper license for it. Be safe out there 😂 they can track you if you have remote id setup on your drone.
Once learned in a marketing class that even though I can’t afford it there’s 100% someone out there that can. Point is if you believe in your service you can charge at your liking, and people will still be interested.
Don't forget that you also are required to be licensed as a commercial drone operator (part 107) for this. You cannot use a drone on a recreational license to make money (but also i feel like my guy didn't get a recreational license either... Maybe i could be wrong). You are also legally required to mark your drone with your FAA registration number on the exterior of the drone prior to flying. If you are NOT American this does not apply, though pretty much any jurisdiction has drone licensing now and some have separate licensing for commercial use. For instance, in Canada you would need to be licensed. To actually operate commercially you need to hold drone liability insurance in excess of $100kCAD as well. On site with you on all commercial flights you would need the following: proof of liability insurance, a business card with your full contact info, copy of UAV operating specs (speed, max operational wind conditions, flight times, among other things), your training cert, and a site survey needs to be performed (however you don't need to have this on hand, though it is ideal).
I’d just like to add: you really should get a Part 107 License to do this. For one, it teaches about the airspace laws, & it allows you to sell photos. Technically this is a “commercial usage of a drone” which requires a FAA license.
You need an FAA part 107 license for flying any reason except for fun (about 150$ per test). If you fly for fun, you need to get your trust certification which is free. Also if the drone weighs more then 249g (0.55 lbs) you need to get it registered. Note: if you fly without the part 107 you can be fined up to 100,000$.
This could easily fail tho due to the fact if someone really wanted a picture of their house that bad .....they would just find it on Google maps and screenshot it
Fun fact from a person that loves drones, don’t do this, unless you have a part 107 license. The FFA will charge you with a massive fine if you fly your drone to make any amount of money.

He missed the part where you need a part 107 license and soon you'll need remote ID as well!
Remote ID is coming 😢😭!
Fk remote id lol
I love the idea 💡 & I live in the ghetto wee don’t have no nice houses 🏡 😮❤
No way this has to be cap
@Purple PencilGrey-Pink 🏳️🌈⃠ you do need a licence to use the drone for none recreational use so selling pictures would technically need a licence
@Purple PencilGrey-Pink 🏳️🌈⃠ yeah that's for private use, what's the law on commercial?
🤓🤓🤓
🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓☝🏼☝🏼☝🏼
The McDonald's wifi bit really got me 😅
They gotta catch me first lol. By that time I would've already banked enough to pay the $175 test fee and get the license.
Well if they catch you then its already too late for the test.
Bruh you need a FAA part 107
Nah they can’t get you everywhere
Not if it's under 250g
@@randomautonomousdronepilot3384 yes you do.you still need it for taking pictures of people's houses and getting money for it
@@somefish9147 no you dont.
Noooo he doesn't. This is CZcams
Aye bud you are missing the Part 107 certification. You're gonna be responsible for some kids parents handfuls of fines in the mail.
Agreed
Ken Heron is proud!
that's some legitimate business idea you got there
I love the sarcasm ❤
Is putting those signs legal without being a company
Nop
I'm pretty sure it's legal. You'd file under your social instead of having an LLC or anything. I don't think you can fake a business name though. But, this may be illegal due to the drone flying, I think you have to have some sort of license or something but Im not sure on that part
Can confirm. My grandfather on my dad's side paid around $300 to have photos of his farmhouse taken by a local pilot in Kansas.
My grandfather on my mother's side paid a little less for the same in Minnesota. Since both men have passed away I now have those pictures hanging in my home in the middle of a giant paved city... ew
You will also need to buy a $100 license to do this.
Exactly and here on the coast, people pay professional photographers to use drones to picture their sailboats too, i’m talking thousands, and it’s always kind of been a prestigious thing because people used to get aerial photos of their homes and display them
Need a part 107 license
The largest photo Walmart prints same day is 8x10. You also need a license to do drone work.
200 Smackers a day ... and at least 100 Karens, right? (Oh well, at least YOU are the manager) 😂
Me:take a picture someone house and send it to them
Home owner:I’m going to call the police
Google Earth : “Am i a joke to you?”
I’m bouta be rich
Wait… I don’t own a drone
Mine is made by Hubsan. They are pretty affordable and can take pretty solid photos and videos
Add the fact that in the US you need a license to use a drone over 250 grams and to use it for none recreational purposes. You also can't fly it over 400 feet without a license
@@StevieSells please read my comment dude, or read anyone’s comments regarding part 107
You need a part 107 for this thou
FAA is going to be knocking on your door lol. Never mentioned you need to be part 107 certified for this
Who the fk wants a framed photo of their house lol
People who own BIG EXPENSIVE HOUSES
The first comment?
AYEEEE!
Cool. And some construction locations need this
You can accept donations to put towards your part 107, as long as you make if clear to the customer where the money is going. That would be perfectly legal, just save up the money until you can pay for the part 107.
For commercial use, drone operators must have a Part 111 through the FAA it is the Drone Operator’s License.
Bro starded a business from zero to hero🗿
“Step one: $2000 drone.”
Nah you can get ones with great cameras for as low as 400. It’s still pricey but significantly better than 2000. I got my mini 2 for about 510
"Now for my favorite piece of all"
"Um..is that ur house?"
"Yes. Yes it is."
Need faa part 107, if not im sure the FAA will find you since you're a big CZcamsr.
Best!
Another thing you could do is offer this to realtors. The picture could help them sell the home.
“How to make 200$ a day”
Bro, you’d be lucky if somebody bought that even once a year.
The hard part is to actually find someone interested. In REALLY nice areas like that the home owners might call the cops if they see strangers hanging around or flying drones about. He also left out the commercial drone license that may be required to do this legally..
Hanging a picture of your house in your house is how you get more “house per house”
Bear in mind you need a special license to perform real estate drone photography.
This was actually a good hustle but idiots are clowning it 🙏🏽
Excellent! Thank You!
The time you said " The first call"
The same time my phone rang
"People are curious to see them from the sky." Literally every house looks the same in that neigborhood. 😂
Aside, my friend,
It is a great idea.
There are many that would have a nice photo of their home.🤙🏽
You do need to register your drone get remote id and also get a Trust certificate but if you are flying for commercial purposes and not recreational then under Part 107 you need a proper license for it. Be safe out there 😂 they can track you if you have remote id setup on your drone.
Man you're good!!!
Awesome idea!!!!
“This was me and the family at DisneyLand… and this right here is my house”
Just send them a picture of Google maps😂
Me with 720p drone strapping my 48megapixel camera phone to the drone:🗿
The grumpy old people: “Get off my property buddy!!!”
✨home.✨
I’d just like to add: you really should get a Part 107 License to do this. For one, it teaches about the airspace laws, & it allows you to sell photos. Technically this is a “commercial usage of a drone” which requires a FAA license.
You need an FAA part 107 license for flying any reason except for fun (about 150$ per test). If you fly for fun, you need to get your trust certification which is free. Also if the drone weighs more then 249g (0.55 lbs) you need to get it registered. Note: if you fly without the part 107 you can be fined up to 100,000$.
Just creating niches out of thin air . This is bad ass
Very helpful thanks 👍
to anyone looking into this you also need to have your part 107 pilots license or you can be fined big money by the FAA
$200 for a picture taken with a $300 drone. Let that sink in.
This could easily fail tho due to the fact if someone really wanted a picture of their house that bad .....they would just find it on Google maps and screenshot it
bro never even thought of mentioning having to have a part 107 license lmao
Fun fact from a person that loves drones, don’t do this, unless you have a part 107 license. The FFA will charge you with a massive fine if you fly your drone to make any amount of money.
POV: you do this without a Part 107 and find an $80,000 check from the FAA on your front porch.
